Watermelon, or dark chocolate covered strawberries, or dates stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in bacon
fruit plate with home made chocolate sauce/fondue. Try enjoy life chocolate chunks and melt it with some coconut oil. Delicious!
Maybe they do nothing b/c your body is more used to those espresso shots? Caffeine is an addictive substance. After a while you have to take in more and more to get the same "hit"/high
This! When I was half marathon training last summer, having a carby meal after long runs really helped. So did a smoking hot shower, water with nuun tablets (electrolytes), and essential oils.
The 5 hour energy is terrible! Before we went primal, hubby had one to help him stay awake while driving one evening and crashed so hard from it when he got home that he started crying. NEVER AGAIN!
Baba ghanoush = primal hummus :D
there's a recipe for it in Everyday Paleo
I hate kale. I've even tried kale chips. Bout gagged to death. So gross!
no offense to my kale loving tribe siblings
You live in Europe. You should have access to European chocolate (some of the best in the world). Buy your favorite dark bar and go to town!
I dunno if it's better, but I've developed a goat cheese addiction! Love the capra honey log. Decadent!
Also I have access to goat milk here and I think it tastes the same as cow milk, but maybe...
Oh, like, say... cancer-encouraging BHT? Double check Chex! I thought about getting some for my gluten sensitive kid, but the BHT scared me off.
imo low carb is 75g carbs or less. Very low carb, to me, is 50g or less.
Well if you're going to do it the primal way, wouldn't it be raw milk? In that case it wouldn't be "cheap" at all. I pay at least $6/gallon here. That's would be nearly $40 week or $160 per month....
Big @$$ salads are easy to take if you have a big bowl with a lid :)
fresh fruit & goat cheese for dessert!
My husband is hyperthyroid and is constantly running a subnormal temperature of 96-ish. I know he has a fever when he doesn't feel good and hits 98.9!
ETA: With me being hypo, I'm constantly...
I made bad choices when I switched to primal and triggered a lot of binges. Some from being too restrictive. Others from enthusiasm for baking & primal treats. As a result, I put back on nearly...
breakfast: eggs scrambled with coconut milk, uncured bacon, plantains fried in coconut oil
snack: dark chocolate, heavy cream, and water
lunch: dunno yet. Salad sounds good, but we're having...
I'm hypo, T1.5 diabetic, and I feel better when I allow myself 50-100g carbs. I'm miserable, emotionally, when I force 25g or fewer on myself.
Do what makes you feel good!
grass fed, yes. Conventional that you get at the supermarket or restaurant? Probably not.
ETA: Sorry, didn't see someone else said this. WHAT THEY SAID! :)
eggs scrambled with coconut milk, plantain fried in coconut oil, and uncured bacon... but I burnt most of the meal. :-\
Ditch the PB2 and treat yourself to some Peanut Butter & Co or Justins!
I have a bodybugg (like the ones from the Biggest Loser). It's constantly flipping out about my fat intake. I like to laugh & make it angry, but I do get kind of frustrated that it's not LC friendly
I eat anywhere between 60-80% fat in a day. Usually it's closer to 60, but sometimes I get super hungry (I blame growth spurts from breastfed baby!)
Do not limit healthy carbs on your children. Let them go to town on fruit, veggies, and dairy. My 4yo can nearly knock out a pack of bacon by herself in one sitting and she loves fruit and does...
Isopure Zero tastes good, but it's not primal. Sun Warrior Warrior Blend is more primal friendly, but has the mouth feel of wet sand. IZ is a guilty pleasure for me, especially when mixed with...
