Speaking from experience, I think you can gain while being completely primal, you just need a ton of calories (which can be extremely expensive if you eat only organic)
What i have done to gain is...
lol, yeah same here, 6 eggs a day, 1 liter of whole milk a day + an avocado or two, oh, I also cook my beef or pork in bacon fat to get it extra good,

Man, forget about aging your eggs, that's garbage,
who is going to keep eggs in the fridge for a week without eating them, that's unrealistic.
My eggs peel easy peas, all you have to do is through...
banana with nut butter coconut and raisins on it, as well as 2 hard boiled eggs and a protein shake
hey, I am just relying on this article,
I am not bashing the primal diet or anything, I am on it myself but I found this very interesting
these people are the healthiest in the world yet they encompass wine, dairy and grains as daily...
yeah, so i realized that I must have been eating half the protein a day that I should have, So I bought a big tub of protein powder and now take it at least 3 times a day and have already noticed a...
I don't think its quite physically possible, (not saying its impossible however)

I was heading out to get some organic bacon but it turns out that there is a ton of salt, sugar and nitrates in the stuff!
I thought Mark said you can never eat enough bacon, I would surely have to...
Right now I eat a lot of nuts, I am trying to gain lean muscle mass and find nuts are good cheap protein snacks.
I have about:
2 tbsp of almond butter in the morning

I am interested in getting into eating raw meat seeing as how this would be very primal.
Has anybody done this?
Can you share any experience or any suggestions?

lol, he can't have his cake and eat it to
okay, thanks everyone I guess what I have concluded is just to stick to the primal diet but basically eat more, just switch the diet up to make it work for gaining weight.
@ Jokaman70
What!? of course they did
haven't you seen the Flintstones? :P
people also have foot pedaled cars (which makes complete sense!)
Don't worry about it!
We all have our weak moments, as long as its not a common occurrence then its not a problem
like others have said: remember the all knowing 80/20
oh yeah, I also do lots of compound exercises, like squats, dead lift, pull ups etc.
Right now I make a bowl of oatmeal in the morning with banana and eggs and eat half, then I workout then eat the other half then stick to the primal diet for the rest of the day.
Do you think this...
So on this diet you barely eat any veg?
isn't that against the primal lifestyle?
@ Kestrel
I don't get it, are you trying to be sarcastic or...
well if you want to to gain weight I would suggest eating every 2-3 hours, not the 6-8 you've been doing
make the meals smaller too, aim for two things a meal like a banana and 2 pieces of bacon...
@ Anthony
Well dude, no wonder, eat a ton of carbs in the morning to kickstart your body, have eggs and banana and some coffee, stay away from dairy I've heard it slows you down before a workout...
I was wondering if I can put weight (lean muscle) with the primal diet?
I am trying to gain at least 10 pounds, what would I have to eat to achieve this?
Just super high protein?
I don't get it
I thought if your eating primal then carbs aren't really a factor anymore?
if you stick to what mark has outlined to eat than shouldn't it not matter how much you eat?
