I've stopped using deodorant and just use cologne now from a spray bottle. I also don't even wash my hair with anything including water and I only use soap on my armpits and man parts/crevices.

Yeah, exercise helps quite a bit. I also save my carbs and meals in general for later in the day or at least after my workout.
I also find a smaller window of allotted time for eating helps me...
I think I'd have to time a decent fast and possibly one of my workouts before that event :D
It may not be keto, but I would point out that you were at least having your carbs later in the day.
