Could very well be Ischial Tuberosity
You're in Honolulu. Last time I checked, Kapiolani Park has a pull-up bar complex near the tennis center and it's free, right by the water fountain and TheBus stop.
Hey, check out my post on Ischial Tuberosity.
Update: Aug. 15. Therapist gave the go-ahead to try out sprinting. So on Friday, I did 10 x 50 meters. I could really fly and it felt good after a couple of warm up sprints. But that evening, it...
Right on. I do those hip flexor-quad stretches with a swiss ball. The reason why the PT didn't prescribe those is that he noticed the extraordinarily tight hammies and wanted to keep it simple in...
Charley. I'm glad I could help you. Let me know how it goes. That's what's great about this MDA forum. We have common interests and can help each other reach our goals.
The PT told me that I have to stop sprinting and let the hamstring heal. You can really feel the pain when sprinting and sitting. I am skipping rope and doing kettlebell swings and snatches for...
I went to see a physical therapist yesterday. He got me on the massage table and did myofascial release therapy. Ischial Tuberosity is the bony part of the bottom of your ass that you sit on (one for...
I got this in my left buttock last year from sprinting. Stopped for a bit. Now it's on the right side as my volume of sprinting has gone up. I used to do 10 x 100-meter sprints but reduced it to 50...
Try it with Grey Poupon.
I got one that's similar. I set my timer to beep every 30 seconds for 10-minute rounds.
Round One: I skip rope 30 seconds, rest 30 seconds for 10 minutes.
Then take a drink, wipe up the...
I agree with you. It's sad to see here in Tokyo. Women stooped over. Could be Vitamin D deficiency. Could be a lack of nutrients during the war years. A lot of women avoid the sun here. Not so much...
I think you will be just fine. The produce and fish here are superb. Much higher freshness and cleanliness standards than in the U.S. I have access to Greek yogurt (Fage from Greece). German bacon,...
20 x 40-meter sprints.
Yeah. best thing is it's free. The other workout Round & Round is also a good default when you have little time.
Monday: Did this bodyweight routine, http://www.trainforstrength.com/workout1.shtml Still sore from it on Wednesday.
I second this. The most cut individual I have ever seen, lean but well muscled and defined, just worked out by sprinting a lap at a time in the pool.
This isn't a new subject but the reporter wrote a very compelling account. Makes you wonder about whether the ketogenic diet could be a cure for other maladies not yet known. It all makes sense....
I often take up to 2 minutes to recover from a 100-meter sprint. One tip: I run the sprints on soft grass. Surface matters. Injuries for me tend to happen on roads.
@Jess: Yup, trying to build some muscle.
Friday: 20 x 40-meter sprints.
I'm trying an experiment. I typically do 10 x 100-meter sprints. Slashing the distance now to see what effect it will...
I agree with Velocity here (no pun intended). 30 seconds is a long-ass sprint. I wouldn't consider it a sprint in my book. Maybe halve that. 10-15 seconds. How many of us can sustain an all-out...
Haven't filed anything in a while. Anyone miss me?
Can I play catch-up? Here goes:
++++++++++++++++
Wed. Oct. 6 Strength Day
Using 35-pound kettlebell, did 3 Turkish Get Ups per side.
Here's a Kettlebell "Manmaker" I do with a 35-pounder.
10 Snatches Each Hand
>Skip Rope for 100 revolutions
10 Swings Each Hand
>Skip Rope for 100 revolutions
10 Goblet Squats
>Skip Rope for...
I had major sciatica pain in March. I went to an acupuncturist. Five sessions over two weeks and I was healed. She recommended daily hot baths also. I think it directly attacks the problem without...
Two years ago, I spotted this video on sprinting on YouTube and I was sold on MDA soon after:

Dropped 20 pounds since adopting the lifestyle.
