Any thoughts?
Thanks for the response - I'm sorry for the delay, I never got notice that anyone replied. I'll look at my store to see if they carry Daisy. I've never seen friendship.
I'll have to look out for...
Thanks again for taking the time to respond - it's amazing how easy this stuff goes on for me now. My most difficult time is the weekend. I can eat perfectly but on the weekends, I fall off of the...
And this is why trying to lose weight is frustrating.
ChocoTaco - I read the Lyle McDonald post and I see what he is saying and why you made the recommendations you made. With regards to my...
Hey ChocoTaco - thanks for the input but doesn't this contradict what Mark talks about in his book? His weight-loss chapter deals with finding how much protein you need, figuring out the number of...
Gorbag - cool, thanks for the advice. I was thinking of starting w/ 500 to get adapted, see how I progress, and go from there...those are my thoughts at least. I didn't want to have too big of a...
Jakey - thanks for taking the time to respond. After doing some calorie counting leading up to this - I realize I've been eating roughly 250g carbs per day and relatively low amounts of fat. I'm...
I'm going to try not to be too anal about the macros, I figure this is a starting point for me. I'll aim to get 1000 cals from protein sources, 1300 cals from fat sources, and 300 cals from carbs...

Fat - 145g x 9 cals per gram = 1305 cals
Grand Total - 2605 cals...

Goal to reduce fat by 1 pound per week = 3000cals
Lean mass is 188lbs, but I've been eating 1g per...
HA! Thanks Slim
I'm debating if I should switch to an IF approach so I could truly devour monsterous meals or stick to what I've been trying to do. Sometimes I need a change to shake things up.
Interesting - I never looked at it from that angle.
How do you guys keep track of how much protein/fat/carbs you're eating? I realize eating all veggies you can easily stay under 100g carbs, how...
Yeah - I love butter and use coconut oil but it seems more important to me to eat stuff with some substance, for example I'd rather eat a handful of nuts than douse my salad with extra olive...
I really do love the almonds and use them as a source of fat. I've even toyed w/ the idea of messing w/ IF. I'm just in a rut and can't seem to control myself on the weekends either.
3000 cals...
Thanks for taking the time to respond, here are some more details that could help
6'4" - 230lbs, 18% BF - over the last two years, I've lost 50 lbs. I found the Primal Blueprint through Crossfit....
Hey guys, I’ll try to keep this short and sweet. I try to follow a primal lifestyle, I’m 6’4, 230ish w/ 18% bodyfat. I’ve been aiming for the following breakdown: 2500 cals, 155g fat, 75g carbs, 225g...
