2grams of surgar per cup?

How many diced eggs could you fit in a cup? Im guessing 4-5?

You are going to find trace amounts of carbs in meat as well, similar to the ratios in eggs.

I've cut eggs down from a staple to strictly side dish -- have them a couple times a week tops. I try to stick to local farm ones, and the duck ones are much more filling and satisfying, they just taste much richer and fattier.

I had childhood asthma, and when I drank milk or ate ice cream it would make me wheeze. Supposedly I grew out of that sensitivity, but given what I've read about casein I'll keep butter in the 'occasional small amounts' category. Right now I use hardly any, so I ought to buy the Kerrygold more often! And I need the patience to make ghee more often...but I'd rather spend my rendering time with pure animal fats :)

80-90% of the time I am. Most days consist of little more than eggs and meat- probably 4 or 5 days out of the week. Today I'm having some figs and apple cider.

Yeah but are you a zero-carber? That's why I asked.

I eat eggs all the time. Lately my diet has consisted mainly of eggs, meat, and occasionally a veggie or nuts.

Eggs are a perfect, highly nutritious food. I'm no expert but I don't recall ever seeing anyone on this board recommend against them because of the trace amount of carbs. Mark definitely considers them a vital part of the PB way of eating.

Best I can tell, it depends on you. I love eggs and don't want to give them up. Same with butter. I already weigh what I want to , so I eat all I want; if I wanted to lose weight I would be more strict.

I already gave up dairy in every form but butter, which I use for cooking. I have never had a problem with dairy before though.

Butter has much less carbs than eggs, so it should be fine, right?

(I checked - eggs have 2 grams of sugar per cup.)

Even meat has trace amounts. Eggs are less than half a gram apiece. Butter, I'm not sure about, but dairy can complicate the diet--you might want to try without butter and then add it in and see what happens. All of my health issues (I took them for normal parts of aging) have disappeared, except for a slightly runny nose. I'm going to see if giving up dairy (mostly heavy cream in my coffee, but some butter) will fix that.

Just wondering, because those two have trace amounts of carbs!

I might do a zero-carb experiment so I wanted to know.

Thanks.
