I had a large cup of coffee with added cream, I was still full from the 3 eggs and bacon 17 hours earlier... ;)

Intermittent fasting is so rewarding on a VLC diet. ;)

i love smoothies, but If i don't make them right, I get very hungry soon after.

Maybe you can make some bruschetta and put that on top of some scrambly eggs if they are getting too boring.

smoked salmon and a good salad with lots of chopped nuts and a little fruit would be delicious.

I tried making the primal pancakes and they turned out alright, sorta weird tasting though.

I love berries and nuts in the morning. Blueberries and Raspberries with Almonds, Walnuts, or Pecans; a smidge of honey covered in Greek yogurt.

Another good mix: 1 Sliced Banana smothered in walnuts or macadamias, chopped; covered in Coconut Milk and Lime with a bit of honey.

Come to think of it, who said that had to be for breakfast?

I'm a big fan of fish these days. Canned Alaskan salmon or sardines are both easy and cheap, add avocado and/or fish oil for fats and you are good to go.

I've been trying out various smoothies to try to find a combination that I like. It's easy to go heavy on the carbs but I think I found one that tastes good without a sugar rush:

-One cup berries
-One cup whole yogurt
-Big scoop of almond butter
-A few spoons of coconut milk
-Water depending on how liquidy you want it

High in fat but maybe too low in protein...I think it was probably about 12-13g with the almond butter and yogurt.

It's 10:30 already and I haven't eaten yet... but I have a couple beets roasting in the oven (yummm) which I will eat with butter and salt.
Also going to make some sweet potato fries.
And maybe peel/munch some turnips.
I know it sounds like root-vegetable-city here but if it shows up in our CSA basket, we eat it. yum.
