Sure he does. From the Amazon description:
- Weight loss is all about insulin; moderate your production by eliminating sugar and grains (yes, even whole grains) and you will lose the excess body fat you desire without dieting—plus you will improve your energy level, reduce inflammation, and eliminate disease risk.
- Eating meat, eggs, and a generally high-fat diet not only is healthy but is the key to effortless weight loss, a healthy immune system, and boundless energy.
- Slowing down your typical cardiovascular workouts, and incorporating brief, intense strength sessions and occasional all-out sprints can produce fitness benefits far superior to workouts that are much longer and more grueling—and can eliminate the risk of burnout.
Oh, the carb curve too. Need I point out everything wrong with that, what you said, and your never-ending ability to dig yourself further into a hole with your hypocrisy?
Right next to the carb curve on the original Primal Blueprint is this quote:
"0-50 grams per day: Ketosis and I.F. (Intermittent
Fasting) zone. Excellent catalyst for rapid fat loss
through I.F. Not recommended for prolonged
periods (except in medically supervised programs
for obese or Type 2 diabetics) due to unnecessary
deprivation of plant foods."
Eliminating sugar and grains=/=ketosis.
Oh, Laaaaawwwwwd. It has turned into a feminism/libertarian/liberal/etc. thread!
G'night everybody. Have fun.
When you say lawd, do you mean the Christian one? Just thought I'd drag religion in too. Why not? Heh
THe sad thing is that we live in such a divided world that when you talk about equality, people assume your a feminist anyway.
I'm an Equalist*.
*registers as a spelling mistake
It's because women here in the west are engorged in the idea that they are princesses at birth, women are taught that they are valuable creatures who deserve more than they have. This corrosive mindset creates wicked and self entitled pigs who ride off of anyone they can to get by, and have no real sense of dignity or common sense instilled in them. When you create a few echo chambers for them, and give them some leeway in politics and social events, they then become delusional feminists who think it is their obligation to dismantle or decry anything that doesn't immediately pander to their misandrous hivemind. See: any feminist movement ever, all feminists on tumblr, SRS.
There are a lot of these poisonous elements in the US that work to bring out the most unattractive and most unapproachable people, and then reward them for their stupidity. See: 'vagina' as something sacred and holy and a gift to give away.
This isn't meant to be offensive, btw, so sorry if it comes off crass. I really love women, I just hate these types of people. It goes to the men too, who shamelessly cater to this as white knights, while masking their hypocrisy and intentions since all they want is to get in their pants and are thus glorifying the vagina.
Neo-feminism is nothing but a man-hating circlejerk, where all sex, even in marriage is considered rape, and thus, all men are rapist pigs and all unwarranted attention is rape, and warranted attention from people they find attractive is not rape. Never-ending cycle of degeneracy and hypocrisy. Feminism has done nothing lately but wrought havoc on the relations between man and woman.

How about vaccines?
circumcision is child abuse, simple as that. the baby can't consent to being mutilated at birth, and it honestly does nothing but make everything worse later on for them. ED, lack of sensitivity, etc etc

Me too. Also agree with Derp about circumcision. It's one of the most unnecessary and aggressive acts one person can make against another person.
RE: Fat loss. Keep fat low, biggest mistake when trying a "Ray Peat diet" is going full fat and full sugar. Keep protein moderately high. Keep sugar high, starch low and calories in check. Pretty simple.
In regards to this Peat Vs Sisson, its pretty funny because they are actually really similar in their recommendations, replace veg with fruit, fatty meat with low fat milk and skip the IF. Everyone who hasnt read any of Peats work or even bothered to really look into the diet that others have put together based on Peats articles and interviews just think its a ice cream and coke free for all but Peat is pretty strict when it comes to junk food, excess calories and grains. Also for the record, i have read quite a bit from Peat and his disciples and never once saw a reference to the progest e that he produces. Actually didnt know it until Yoga said something in her journal.
P.S. Others interested in this way of eating should check out Phil at pranarupa | Life, Yoga, and Ray Peat and Andrew Kim at Andrew Kim Blog. Both are really interesting and share similar philosophies. Danny Roddy is usually kinda stale but his recent series has been pretty interesting as well.
Omg, yay ! Must be a peat trait, haha. :)
Haha ;) Actually, it seems like people with a particular political / social / moral set of views are drawn to Peat.

Not disagreeing with the rest of what you've written, but I know plenty of women who were taught that they were not valuable at all.
Anyway, I hate it when people ascribe "traits" to men and women. It makes my blood boil when a guy says: "Women!" ARGH! I know gender stereotyping is true a lot of the time, but continuing to enforce it like that just makes it stronger. Why can't we just be who we are?
