Adrenal fatigue high carb OR high fat??
I was diagnosed with Adrenal Fatigue as of last year. Over the course of that year I have only lost 10 pounds doing a low fat high protein Paleo diet, no fruit or sweet potatoes during the week. Maybe once on the weekends as a treat. I did start to feel better after I eliminated dairy and grains and started taking an adrenal supplement. However the weight loss has been slow.
Unfortunately I also LOVE my coffee and have become dependent on it more and more over the past few weeks as I have been working more shifts at work.
Now all of a sudden as I am working more I am finding all of my adrenal fatigue symptoms are back with full force. It has been nearly impossible to get a full nights rest, I have gained a few pounds (high cortisol?) and just feel drained constantly!!!!
I heard that if you eliminate carbs for a long period of time that can make the adrenal fatigue worse??? However I also heard that high fat helps to heal the adrenals???
I am sooo confused!!!!!!
How can I restore my adrenals so I can lose another 20 pounds!!!!
