I've become very lazy with my lunchtime salads of late so was wondering if people could suggest some awesome BASs to help me mix things up again. I'm hopeless with working out flavour combinations that work, but I tend to have (and like eating) the following ingredients, so would be good to base the salads off these, although a few extras won't hurt :D (no dairy though):
Various dressing bases (mayonnaise, mustard, olive oil, vinegar)
Various leaves (lettuce, spinach, pea shoots, etc.)
Various dried herbs and spices, but can get fresh too
Beef mince (ground beef)
Roasted duck breast
Chicken thigh meat
Salmon (smoked and fresh)
Tuna (tinned and fresh)
Any ideas much appreciated. I'm hungry already :o
I don't even bother with combinations working. If it's in the refrigerator, it goes on the salad.

spinach, egg, bacon, avocado, mayo based
steak, cuke, spinach, onion, vinegarette
I have a few go salads, but as I say in my original post, I've become very lazy and pretty much eat the same salads all the time...getting a little bored of them:
1) Mixed leaves, bacon, chicken thigh meat, avocado, OO, and balsamic
2) Mixed leaves, prawns, egg, bacon, mashed up avocado, and mayo
My daily salad right now is cucumber (~ 1 cup sliced), radishes (4-5), red cabbage (~ 200 g, 6-7 oz) and an avocado pureed into dressing.
I love variations on slaw, basically it is any cabbage (including kale) with thinly chopped celery, cucumbers, bell peppers, onions and baby tomatoes and carrots dressed with home made mayo or sesame oil.
grated green radish, carrots and apple (or jikama), a drop if balsamic vinegar
I also love boiled beet based salads (grated beets, walnuts, garlic, sometimes salmon or sardines w hm mayo (or oil)) or chopped beets, carrots, cucumber, sauerkraut, tomato, onion... optional a small potato w mayo or oil-mustard
Fresh salsa (actually, I guess it's pico de gala) with dehydrated sweet potato chips or on seafood
roasted eggplant, pepper and garlic, blended together (heaven)
fresh pickles: cabbage, cucumbers, radishes thinly sliced, with fresh dill, vinegar and water, let stand in the fridge for a few minutes.
Just made water kimchi, pretty good too!
I should also point out that I need my BAS to pack a hefty calorie hit, as with the exercise I do I need 3000-4000 Kcal a day.

A really good salad is from the WellFed cookbook-
Mayo, chicken, avocado, mango and cukes.
Bacon, lettuce, chicken, tomato, avocado, mayo
Chicken, apple, walnut, celery, grapes, mayo
Can tuna, hardboiled eggs, celery, pickles, mayo
Mayo is great to pack on calories.
My favorite salad; it could be tweaked any number of ways:
Spinach (this should be like 70% of the salad)
Lettuce (Boston! mmm)
Olive Oil drizzled liberally (I hate vinegar)
For more calories... homemade hummus as dressing or eaten with carrot sticks alongside the salad. A few slices of avocado on top (though I've been avoiding avocado lately cuz I think it gives me headaches) or some flax seeds (crunchy! but if I use them, somehow they end up everywhere in my house)...
Edit: No hummus if you're off legumes, my bad.
My staple combo:
Bagged watercress, rocket and spinach salad
Red cabbage (the purple vegetable, not pickled side dish)
Meat is usually either 97% pork sausage (gluten free), chorizo (again, gluten free), sliced medium rare topside of beef or sliced cold cuts. I dress with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
For dessert I usually take a mix of strawberries and blackberries, with cherries if they're available.
