I am sorry you are going through this.
My mother suffered from Alzheimer's and was in a home. Prior to and after her death the weather was impossible. One morning she simply didn't wake up and my father & sisters were told she was actively dying. I was living in another state at the time. There was no way I could get home in time. My youngest sister was in prison and couldn't be there either.
I had my family put the phone to my mom's ear and I said my goodbyes. The prison allowed my sister the same courtesy. My mother died shortly after both of those calls.
Because of the weather, with airports closed, I barely made it home for her funeral.
My point with all of this is to let you know that even IF you can not get to your grandmother, you can still contact her and say goodbye.
Sending <3 and support, not very articulately, but genuinely...
Grats on the job though, did I tell you or did I tell you...?! :P
1. Eat lots of animals, insects and plants.
IF: 23 hrs, including 2 cups mint oolong tea and 40 oz water
D: grilled wild trout, romaine w/ tomato and carrot with a salad dressing I found that was fully Primal including the oil*blink blink*, small baked potato w/ margarine- thought it was real butter- (soybean oil, shit) and cheddar, and salt pork green beans.
The dressing was only olive oil, herbs, water, and spices; all organic. Tasted pretty good too.
2. Move around a lot at a slow pace.
3. Lift heavy things.
Does my mother or myself (emotionally) count?
4. Run really fast every once in a while.
5. Get lots of sleep.
6. Play.

8. Avoid trauma.
No physical trauma...
9. Avoid poisonous things.
That damn margarine I didn't check. It was maybe a tbsp worth, but come on.
10. Use your mind.
Mostly trying to figure out the logistics of going to Dallas. Some emotional stuff, as seen earlier in this journal.
I know that I can say good- bye if I don't get to see her, but I'd kick myself until time immemorial if I didn't go and see her before she kicked it. She's always said "If you can't come see me when I'm alive, don't bother seeing me when I'm dead." And, for once in my life, I agree with her. So I want to see her before she takes the swan dive into the hospital days.
Huh? Meaty, I don't have anything yet. You're thinking Kuno. I'm still in limbo. I may start substitute teaching if I can't find anything soon.
what was that boss' boss comment?!?!?!!?!?
and that work boring was fun and boring.. *reading fail* Y_Y
Boss's boss laid me off. I'm officially gone out of the office Sept 30. Until then, I'm toying with the cocksucker to inflict as much mental and emotional damage as possible.
So sorry about your Grandma, Naiad....
OOOH. I thought this was a new job :/
Naiad, sorry you are having to go through so much.
Best wishes and hugs!
This is so awesome! I usually detest teenybopper songs, but for this one version, I'll make an exception:
