Other Aspects of Primal Living
How does everyone here stay Primal in ways that [I]don't[/I] involve food or lifting heavy things?
I was thinking about it, and came to the conclusion that the things we focus on heavily here, are not necessarily things that will give us optimal health, all the time. For instance, if you've got a very clean diet, but stress about every little ingredient in everything you out into your mouth, the anxiety around food can overwhelm the benefits of your perfectly clean diet. Or, if you've got Cross-Fit, LHT, WOD, etc. down pat, but you're missing fun social activities just to make sure to get every workout in this week, you're missing out on life! Socializing and relaxation are both just as Primal as diet and exercise, and I don't want anyone here to lose sight of that.
As for me, I want to do things for enjoyment rather than solely for health reasons. I want to focus my energy outward and make others happy around me by being more thoughtful. I want to recreate my living space so that it produces a more positive vibe. I want to not miss a social event just because I need to live a cleaner lifestyle.
I already try to do something creative at least once a week (artwork, nail art, crafts), write in my journal for relaxation, get massages and dry brush my skin, and try to go outside and be in nature as often as I can (which is getting easier now that its warming up!)
So, for the adequate sleep, socializing, relaxation, and overall natural state of living that keeps you in the best mood, in the easiest groove of happy, healthy living, what all do you do? Or, if you feel you want to do this aspect of Primal better, what do you want to start doing?
