Are there any scientific studies showing the negative effects from PUFA's?

I think the article makes some good points.
However, I'm not completely buying into the fear mongering about nuts, and the huge importance in the paleo/primal community placed on the omega 6/omega 3 ratio. Where are the studies? I will need a study comparing two people eating low carb paleo, one eating a lot of nuts and the other a minimal amount. What are their blood readings? Could it perhaps be the type of omega 6's being consumed? Huge difference between getting your O-6's from french fries than from a couple handfuls of almonds!
Before we all go bashing nuts at every given chance, let's see some actual studies...let me know if anyone has links to these.
