I'm having a pretty good up day, though I've apparently had too much sodium or fruit because I feel like I am holding on to every ounce of water I'm sipping. Already. :D For staff appreciation week, today's treat was breakfast. I'm thinking one of the items must have had gluten in it or something.
I'm feeling like a stuffed sausage at the moment and I really didn't eat that much in quantity. My calories for the day are still under 1400 even with the yogurt I plan for dinner.
Elkay7 -my husband still drinks beer and eat 2-3 completely non paleo meals a week. He lost over 20 lb since August 2012. Make small changes now. Maybe in few month you don't even think about beer.

Yeah, not doing the whole organic, local thing right now. In the summer though I have access to lots of free produce and free range chicken eggs, from my in-laws, plus we're in the process of buying part of a beef share, so its seasonal for us. Bacon freezes great! The last time they had this deal I bought 16 packs and were still eating it! Defrost in the fridge overnight. I too don't go too crazy over grass fed/ organic. I try to buy what's is on the dirty dozen veggie list organic but other than that all my meat and dairy is conventional and don't sweat it!
Gah! Why am I so dizzy? I have been horribly dizzy all day today and I just cant put my finger on why. Any ideas?

Gladmorning how long have you been fasting for? I was getting a LOT of dizziness early on, but it seems to have settled down now.
Also I still have the odd binge - not due to fasting, I have always struggled with it - but I notice they do much less damage now that I am fasting.
Im not fasting today. Its my up day, which is why I'm thrown off.
Sorry to pop back into the thread, but it sounds like you may be deficient in magnesium. Magnesium helps with blood pressure as well as carb cravings.
Do you supplement?

At first I got REALLY dizzy the day[I] after [/I]my fast - like, around mid morning and then on and off the rest of the day. It was weird. But then it stopped after about 3-4 weeks. So I was wondering how long you have been following the intermittent fasting regime?
Could be a lack of salt...or too much water on your down day?
I hate that dizzy feeling where your heads spins and you feel like you're going to faint - not pleasant :(
Gladmorning, hope you're feeling better soon - hang in there. I'm with Lucy in suspecting a lack of salt in the first instance. If you're shedding a lot of excess fluid lately you may be depleted (or at least that's what people like Dr Michael Eades suggest).

Ok, I just DO NOT GET my body. Yesterday was an up day - a seriously, SERIOUSLY up day. High carb, high salt, ate until late at night kind of up day. And this morning I've woken to find I've lost 1 kg (2.2 lb) in the past 24 hours. Given what I consumed yesterday, it can't just be all water weight, surely.

All right, that it - no more weighing or measuring myself for another couple of weeks (yes, I know I said that before). It just messes with my brain and makes me second-guess myself. Looks like I need discipline in that area of my life too.
Veronica - I don't drink beer everyday, but I live in the Pacific Northwest so I am surrounded by amazing microbreweries. I do like red wine, but I haven't found one I like nearly as much as beer.
