Sushi? Sashimi? Steak? Gastropub???
Tonight I am going to the nicest sushi restaurant in town( here, to be exact: Kiku Japanese Restaurant | Menu ). They make their own soy sauce, and the fish is sooooo good -- a near religious experience. My boyfriend and I always get the same things to share: a tuna maki roll, a salmon maki roll, 2 pieces of hamachi sushi, 2 pieces of maguro sushi, and occassionally something we just wanna try out. If I'm really hungry I'll order some pieces of sashimi, and a seaweed salad for an appetizer.
Now, my question is, is the rice in the sushi going to add up to a lot of carbs? I also heard that sushi rice is glutenous... So will it make my stomach upset? Should I just forgo the sushi and get all sashimi instead? That'd be really expensive to get full on, I'd think.
Also, this is our Valentine's day dinner, since we wanted to avoid the hype of going out on actual valentine's day, and I'm not really all that into it anyway.
Oh! Aaaaannnnnd, he also said that we can go out to a steakhouse instead (here: https://www.thecapitalgrille.com/pages/menu/dinner.aspx?id=8031 ) OR to this gastropub place we've been wanting to test out: http://meatandpotatoespgh.com/menus/dinner_menu.pdf )
Since he left it up to me, and I'm having trouble deciding exactly what I want, I'm hoping y'alls insight will sway me one way or another. Frankly, it all looks soooo good. haha.
Thanks for reading :) Happy belated Valentine's Day!
