Recipe for Stew Meat?
I bought some buffalo stew meat at the market today, but I don't really want to make stew out of it, since I feel that I NEED bread with things like that... What are my other alternatives? Is stew meat too tough to make shish kabobs out of? Should I marinate it? And does it cook the same as beef does? I'm a little lost, but it just looked so tasty!
Thanks in advance for your suggestions and advice :)

how about hungarian goulash. serve with parsnip or cauliflower instead of the noodles. or you could try noodle out some parsnips in loads of butter to simulate the "butter noodles".

I'm a bit obsessed with this recipe: Crispy Carnitas | Mark's Daily Apple
I imagine you could do it with beef. However if the beef you got does not have a lot of fat on it you may need to add some in.
You could also make.. stew, with your stew meat: like this, only omit the flour: Slow Cooker Pork and Green Chile Stew | Skinnytaste

Just slow-cook it, and serve it with steamed/baked/boiled vegetables.
We don't make casseroles anymore now that we have a slowcooker.

I don't have a slow cooker, otherwise I totally would jus throw it in a pot with veg and let it go. Not sure that I really want to make a stew though, either. Like I said, stew seems incomplete without bread, still. :/ ahh well, it's in the freezer for now, I have plenty of time to decide!
