bullet proof coffee I do believe!
Thx off to google the recipe
Thanks all for the explanations. I am metformin but really want to be off of it. This is all a good reminder of why I went low carb to begin with. Now I just have to quit eating potato chips! Damn potato chips!
I'M IN! I signed up to MDA just to join this thread and admittedly abc123's abs hypnotized me into doing so. Figured out my ratios but I think it will take a couple days to get it fully dialed in. I am already over my carbs for the day (oops!), protein is low and the all precious fat is alright. Luckily I am already used to doing a 1oz shot of coconut oil in the morning, but why are avocados so dang high in carbs?? WHY?! I love avocados. I also don't do dairy so I see this being a little trickier for me but I'm excited to do this. I've been primal since December.
welcome MJam! re: avocados, California and Florida ones are different in macros. Make sure you are getting the right info. Fat IS lovely. This is a great support forum. Ask if you get stuck. :)
They are "mission" ones from Mexico...so Cali I guess, Cali and Mexico being so close. I ate the whole thing, it was average sized and counted it as 15g...is that right?
that sounds right and depending where you plan to go with carbs kind of depends if its too much. Do you you MFP? A lot of us do. We "friend" each other so we can look at each others food diaries. Its great feedback. You are welcome to join us in that as well.
Mjam, I'm only counting net carbs (subtracting fiber from carbs) and that has been working well for me. Most of the carbs in an avacado are fiber, which do not make sugar in the body.
good point Ashley!! For me, I count a carb as a carb.
