guacamole and carnitas sounds way better than a bunch of oil.
Ha! I could not agree more. There is a great taqueria across the street from my office. I get a side of carnitas for $2.00 ans what looks like 1/2 cup of fresh guacamole for $1.50. Together those become brunch for me. It's heavenly! I tried the carne asada but it was kinda dry and not fatty enough. I might try the chicken next week.
Julie, with a 115lb goal, (51kg) that puts your EMF goals at about 25g Carb, 51g Protein, and 102g fat. Glad you decided to join us!
Whoa! That's *some service*, THANKS!
Mama sucks at maffs, so thanks much!
Now off to read the other SIX PAGES y'all wrote all day
while I was at the beach with the boys (in service day
today for teachers).
Randomly, it was 70 degrees today. What? February? Umm... whatever.
Russian Circus is kicking my ass.
Today I've had:
20g heavy cream
30g canned coconut sludge
2 babybell full fat cheeses
5 pieces of salame
2 oil shots, one in the morning, one this afternoon
Not the healthiest of days, but man, not the hungriest either, cramps
from hell too. BLARGH!
On the menu tonight: BBQ'd greazy greazy chicken wings.
And I'll be able to eat a CRAP TON of them too with the low calories
I've already had today. Yanno, that is if I ever get HUNGRY.
So dumb how before LadyTime you're all starving and then when it finally
hits, you're like "food? what's that? who NEEDS IT". At least for me.
So for now I'm sitting at 656 cals at 5pm:
88% fat
2% carbs
10% protein
HAR! Fat bomb.
All righty, carry on!
Julie

Wow, fast moving thread... I started out 1/11 @ 171.5 and ended the month @ 162 with a loss of 5.5 inches. I am totally on board!
Goals for Feb: increase/start implementing some regular walks 3 times a week as this has been truly sporadic.

I'm in, too! I tried this last year when PB started her thread, but got derailed. I have IBS, dairy, fodmap and nut intolerances, and lots of weight to lose. This woe has been the only successful thing I tried for symptom control and weight loss - but about 3-4 weeks in I got really, really sad/miserable. I don't know if I'd let more carbs creep in, or if it really isn't going to work for me. Anyway - I'm giving it a try.
I started PB almost exactly 2 years ago, still working on my n=1 to find what works. My big achievement in year 1 was an elimination process to figure out my triggers. My big achievement late last year was to finally kick the coke zero habit (weeks of detox - not pretty!). I'm now terrified of artificial sweeteners.
Any sugar at all, in fruit or sweets, will start a cycle. Within a couple of days I'll be facedown in a plate of sugar. So finding a way to feel good enough that I'm not tempted or craving is crucial.
I'm not tracking macros - it brings out my obsessive side.
I tend to fast between about 7.30pm - 12 or 1pm, then have 2 meals. Yesterday it was steak and eggs and tomatoes fresh from the garden all cooked up in coconut oil, then roast chicken and mussels for dinner. Today, bacon, eggs and tomatoes again - oh, and topped with homemade macadamia nut oil mayo.
This is day 4 for me, and the headache is vicious.
I'm off to check the recipes!

Goodluck and Welcome Jac :)
I just did my first workout in a while, and it wasn't too bad, went quite light, so I can ease back into it. I posted about it in my journal if anyone wants to read it :p
Better go cook my family lunch, but will come back and read what ive missed, everyone talks too much LOL :p

ooh lunch is going to be chicken oyster bits with skin (apparently from the back of the chicken my butcher says), they are skewered on sticks with peri peri flavouring (using spices, no sugar), they are so delicious. Ill be covering mine in sour cream, yummy!

I am exactly the same as you with sugar Jac. I can do 1/4 of an apple, but no more.
Good on you for kicking the coke zero :)
