LOL Gwamma!
Back in my teens, I used to read a lot of science fiction and horror. One story (don't remember the title) was about a guy who was stranded and started eating his own body parts to stay alive. Gave me the willies for years. :O
Joanie, is the title "Survivor Type" by Stephen King?? I absolutely loved that short story.
OMG - noooooo
many years ago I was persuaded to watch a wee Stephen King movie - lordy beeeeeee...........
It was astory about this guy with a hook on his hand, guess what he went round doing with this bloody hook !!!!!!!!
So Gwamma had nightmares for years after that !!!!!!!
Hi Graycat. I looked up that King story and it looks like it was published first in 1982 which would be after I (and dirt) had graduated high school. But I can't find the one I'm thinking of by searching key words.
LOL Gwamma. I loved his books when he first gained notoriety. Then (and I don't blame him for doing it), it seemed like he was writing a book every 15 minutes. Still, Carrie and The Shining (the Jack Nicholas version) were both terrific books and pretty well adapted to movies. Christine and Cujo were pretty good books, but the movies sucked.
Gwamma - the May cruise in Alaska is a crap shoot. It could be 50F and rainy or 70F and sunny. We went a few years ago and had sun everyday, the very next week it was rainy and foggy everyday. You'll love the trip regardless, amazing country.
Indiana will be beautiful! ;) I really love May, it should be 70s or higher most days. Beautiful spring weather, later in the month starts feeling more summery.
Give us a shout if you'll be anywhere near Indianapolis!
Okay all my wee Canadian friends..... we have had our cruise dates changed so now have 4 days in Vancouver before we depart...................
last time in Vancouver we went up Grouse mountain, went to an amazing Museum ( British columbian or something)..... what else is worth doing whilst in this beautiful city ???????????????
Stanley Park! Gastown. Get a day trip over to Victoria on Vancouver Island and enjoy sailing past the San Juan Islands....sigh. Capilano, which is on the way to Grouse Mountain.
Native Oregonian in love with British Columbia here. YOu could always swing by the Illawarra Coast on your way to BC and I will come along as your stowaway tour guide. Not that you need one...but ya never know. :)

I especially liked the part where he broke through the door with his nine iron. :p
Gwamma was extremely naughty and bought some non- primal luggade t'other day, but its bright red with white polka dots ...................... I won't lose my luggade !!!!!!!
Whats the American rule around school buses ????? We have to slow right down to 20km/hour when passing a stationary bus.
Just wondering................
Probably different all over; in jersey the rule is to suspend your use of judgment and to wait sheepishly regardless of circumstances whenever one has the Stop sign arm out.
When I went to school we all had to walk to one of a few different bus stops dotting the neighborhood. Now around here they roll up to each individual door of the kids on it- you can get stuck for one for 30 minutes on a mile of road.
one has the Stop sign arm out.

Mr Perfidy Sir - where have you been ????????
do the buses have a wee stop sign on them ?????
