I agree with folks on rice being slightly better than corn or wheat. That said, I'd go for organic wheat over non-organic corn any day. In my mind, since they're both a grain, might as well go with the organic.

our breakfast for DS is a large breakfast. Eggs in butter, meat (sometimes -- about 2-3 meals a week for DS and DH), veggies (usually just cut veggies), and then yogurt and frozen berries plus cod liver oil and chopped brazil nuts (selenium). Sometimes, we even sprinkle a little bit of dark chocolate on that last bit for him.

as long as you balance out the gluten free cereal with protein and fat, I don't see much harm being done. potatoes would be a better option, though, and I don't see many kids saying no to crispy, salty home fries with eggs and bacon
