The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face...

Just wanted to share this pic of "Annee" who is due in 13 days. We've been trying to get a good shot of her for a while, but she's been head down facing my spine (and trying to break my ribs from the other end)

So in love with modern technology and grateful! She is estimated at 9 lbs for 38 weeks. They estimated Grace about the same, and she came out 7 lbs 13 oz. I'm not really worried. Baby fat squishes.

When my mother went in to have my little brother, I was about 5-1/2 years old. They asked me what I wanted (1960, so no knowing ahead of time for most) and I said a brother. Then they called and told me I had one. So, until I learned about how babies were really made, I thought you could order them ready-made. :)

I'm so excited for you and for Grace. Having a little brother was one of the joys of my childhood. I thought he was a big interesting doll. I even brought him in for show and tell (accompanied of course). haha.

Cute! Grace wanted a brother when we told her the news in August (and we wanted a boy, too!) but she seems equally happy with a sister. It's a blessing, really. Grace was so spoiled in the clothes dept that Annee pretty much wants for nothing. We've had to do minimal shopping (some new sheets, diapers, wipes, that kind of thing).

When my brother came home from the hospital a neighbor asked me (I was 4) how I liked my little brother. I replied that he was okay but I would have rather had a dog :) . Sounds like Annie is far more excited about a baby. Congratulations! What an exciting time.
