That looks good Paula, I need to read through your journal.
Here is mine:
BP Coffee x 2
Can of tuna mixed with homemade mayo, and 4 cherry tomatoes
Half a chicken sausage (our butcher makes the best sausages with just meat and herbs)
Sirloin Beef Steak
Butter
Broccolli
Has not been dinner yet though, but that is planned.
I have come in at about 1500 calories (17 g carbs, 118g Fat, and 100g protein).
Too much protein?
That is only if I eat the 300g of steak, but chances are I won't be able to fit it all in.

I have dealt with ingrown toe nails for about 30 years due to very deep curved nails...
I finally decided to have the nail permanently killed/removed to prevent it from continuing to occur just two weeks ago.
It's close to healed, but still pretty tender.
I still have to keep it bandaged, but just started being able to wear normal shoes again today when leaving the house.
Normal being my stretchiest pair of VFFs... my Seeyas!
It's actually good I don't have to leave the house much.
Before I was having to wear over sized house slipper boots...
-
ooh ouch!
That sounds painful. I haven't been wearing my VFF for a while. Need to start again. Have been wearing nike frees though.
I have not heard of VFF seeyas, will have to google. I have good old KSOs, I wore them everywhere before.

For the record, I am in love with mascarpone. You can keep your regular old cream cheese. I found an all natural one at Grocery Outlet. OH, YUM.
That is all, carry on.

Today's consumption:
1 coffee with half'n'half and 1 coffee with almost a tblsp of butter
~12 oz chicken thighs cooked with the skin on but I didn't eat the skin (because I don't like it usually)
6 brussel sprouts cooked in some of the fat that rendered off the chicken - totally yummy; wish I'd cooked a pound of these
If I eat anymore tonight (and I might because I'm feeling a bit hungry), most likely I'll have an avocado because I have one that has to be used within the next day or so anyway.

I am VERY jealous of all you people complaining about the cold. Can only WISH it were cold here. Today was over 40C (105F), and as of now (late at night) it's still over 37C (about 100F). Ack. So much for exercise.
Glad all our surgical survivors are recovering well! :)
I'm very proud of how I handled myself when eating out tonight at a Mexican restaurant - no nachos, no Margaritas, just a yummy fajita salad with extra cheese and sour cream. Meaty, fatty, salady, and nary a bean or tortilla in sight.
@Ayla: tuna + mashed avocado + lemon juice + any diced vegies/salad you like = YUM. Tuna is also good with sour cream and diced pickledy stuff or capers.
@JoanieL: I think we need to see a video demonstration of that squatty walk!

Good news. I was putting my coat on this morning and noticed I could button it all the way up with no gaping holes. When I got back from taking the girls to school I went to shower and got on the scale. I'm down 6 pounds from 216 to 210.

Have learned the hard way that high fat doesn't help when taking Percocet. Got horribly nauseated last night after a dinner of avocado and homemade chicken soup with pain med, so before bed I had Greek yogurt (2%) with a huge banana and a handful of raw hazelnuts, plus pain med. Pain sucked last night. Today is day 2 post surgery. Forced myself to have another bowl of yogurt/banana, and about to have a warm cup of homemade beef bone broth. Then pain med, coffee, icing my knee, and first round of PT exercises. Meh. I mean, rah!
