I should know the answer to this, but my pregnant brain apparently has the dumb.
What happens on a low carb, low fat, high protein diet? You lose weight because of rabbit starvation, right?

I guess it depends on the degree of "low"... But taken to the extreme... I think so?

Wrong! You will not get any “rabbit starvation” by eating protein food from various sources, a disease that is more a rumor than a well-documented occurrence anyway. Make sure to get the protein from various sources, and not only from powders though, because this may be bad! Lots of people are now getting very lean on a so called protein sparing modified fast(PSMF) which is a very effective way to lose weight. It can be done as a short time crash diet or used one day a week etc. for weight maintenance…

You cheat. Usually with carbs.
As I understand it - your liver would convert some of the protein to carbs via gluconeogenesis. I've heard varying views as to whether this is harmless or stressful to the body.
Back in the 90's, that's how we did Atkins...skinless chicken breasts, Beef Jerky, low fat lunch meat, iceberg lettuce. You'd lose weight fast but it would all come back with a vengeance. We used to do this when I was in the military and we had to meet weight requirements once a year. Another good way we lost weight was not drinking anything for 2 days, sure your kidneys screamed, but you still had a job.
Jesus, I wouldn't last a week on a diet like that. Personally, protein alone doesn't fill me up. I would be a starving, miserable pain in the ass eating that way. I imagine many people would.

No problems there. I just have powders in the morning (some days it's easier to get down than our beloved bacon & eggs), and the rest of our intake comes from grass fed cheese and meat

LOL, I cheat anyway with carbs.
You die horribly slow and painfully. And don't think you can go to either Heaven or Hell on this diet either.
ROFL. Thanks, Derpy!
