Day 18/365
235 lbs
Not bad after a "cheat" day.
Fasted thru the morning. Day trip and a late night at a casino... with old friends... but stuck to the plan and had fun the whole time. Starting to realize that you CAN have fun not shoving bad food and beer in your face with friends!
Black coffee, smoothie w/ spinach, protein, pineapple, mango, almond milk
Dinner @ chinese restaurant: honey short ribs w/ onions. (definitely some sugar/soy in the sauce, but stayed completely away from rice and noodles)
3 glasses of red while gambling
Definitely a great "weekend" (since I now have Wed/Thurs off). Enjoyed some snacks outside primal guidelines, but for the most part, kept them "snacks" and not full blown disasters. Enjoyed some beers (my homebrew is good) and satisfied the taste without destroying progress. This is the best I have behaved during a holiday season ever. Love that I will have a 10-15 pound head start on everyone on Jan. 1st.

Day 19/365
232.2 lbs
Unbelievable to have two days off, enjoy a few beers and some chips, then hit a casino for a night of gambling and free drinks and essentially have NO weight gain. AWESOME
Was supposed to be a gym day, but super late night last night, so took extra sleep and will hit the gym tomorrow instead.
Black coffee
chicken meatballs with marinara
primal chili, pork chop w/ grilled pineapple ring, 2 small sweet potatoes

***update to Day 19*** (uh oh)
3 beers, 1/2 of a frozen pizza.
There I did it. That counts as my holiday binge. Still weighed in at 233 this morning. Already got to the gym today... and have fasted thru the early part of the day. More to come later

Day 20/365

Protein smoothie
Hamburgers with lettuce wrap, hot sauce, onions
Pear
Small bowl of paleo apple crisp

Day 21/365
232.2 lbs.
Some family at the house today for an old tradition of making gingerbread houses. Happy to report I ate NO gingerbread and NO candy or frosting while decorating. Waiting to break through this barrier at 232 pounds... seems like I've been here awhile, but I know I didn't have the best week dieting, so what should I expect? Also remembering it's not about weight... and that PATIENCE is key in this battle. Definitely strong enough to stay the course, continue lifting heavy, eating primal and not trying to cardio myself to a lower weight. It's winter now anyway... slow and steady for the next 6 months until beach season and I'll be all set!
Blk coffee, 2 eggs, bacon
hot wings (some with bbq sauce)
hamburger w/ lettuce wrap, onions. apple

Day 22/365
232.2 lbs (again!)
Merry Christmas Eve. Stayed well-behaved at a work pot-luck... going for the crockpots with sausage/peppers/onions.... and another one with meatballs. Had some chicken from the chicken alfredo. Ate very little of the sauce and only a few bites of pasta. Also at 1 cookie (really small one though) and stuck with diet coke. Have had great progress through the first three weeks and like where I'm at. I also like how I've dealt with certain social situations. I've been very good about enjoying some non-primal treats very sparingly to get a taste and not go overboard. Pizza and a few beers with the wife tonight because she wanted to unwind and had a taste for it. Wanted to join her for a little Xmas Eve treat before I put her through in-laws/family stuff tomorrow. Right now, it's all about being better than I was. When the holidays are behind us, it will be much easier to make bigger leaps, but really happy with how I've stuck to my plan.
Fasted thru breakfast until about 3:45p.
blk coffee in AM
Protein smoothie w/ banana, almond butter, almond milk
Meatballs, sausage w/ peppers & onions, few bites of alfredo pasta, chicken, mixed greens, 1 cookie, diet coke
thincrust pizza, few beers while wrapping presents.
Heavy lift early in the day:
deadlifts (225/205/185)
chin-ups
planks
walk

Day 23/365
No weigh in
Well, if there's gonna be a day like that, might as well be Christmas.
An utter disaster food-wise. Let go and don't care... So long as I get right back to it. Gifts included some great beer glasses, so I had to test them out!
Xmas AM: coffee, cookies, quiche, sausage, beers
Dinner: turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, cookies
Late: leftover pizza, beers, coffee cake.
Ok so that's done with. Back to business!

Day 24/365
Ughhh another bad one. Fasted until 4 pm, but not good at all. On the road for more holiday gatherings, meeting up with old friends.
Coffee in AM
Few pieces of pizza
Dinner out: boneless wings w/ blue cheese
My fill of beer throughout the evening.
Something to note: sleep quality went directly downhill with bad food, sluggish feeling overall. Good to remember and have been solid so far today. One day at a time... A few days doesn't derail much... Don't make it a pattern
-
Day 25/365
Thus... The non-primal eating binge ends at 3 days. Didn't eat a lot, but it was not primal.
Out and about all day. Not an excuse, just didn't help.
Coffee
Avocado egg rolls, 1/2 of chicken tostada pizza (CPK)
Pita chips, guacamole, 1 beer
-
Day 26/365
Fasted thru 8:30 pm. Good to not binge at that point and chalk it up to one more day.
blk coffee
Balsamic chicken, sundried tomato chicken, cucumber salad
Need to get back to the gym.
