Eek. It's that time of day. I will not buy chocolate-covered almonds. I will not buy chocolate-covered almonds. I will not buy chocolate-covered almonds. I will not buy chocolate-covered almonds. I will not buy chocolate-covered almonds. I will not buy chocolate-covered almonds. I will not buy chocolate-covered almonds. I will not buy chocolate-covered almonds.
how did it go?
I did not buy chocolate covered almonds!! But I did eat a junky lunch.
Day 18 -
On the bus:
Double espresso with coconut oil
Mid-morning:
Black coffee
Lunch:
Fish n' chips! My boss had this yesterday and today I was craving it so I allowed myself this treat. It was pretty good, but I didn't feel super-awesome afterward.
Mid-afternoon:
Herbal tea
Water
Dinner:
Handful salted nuts
Last of the primal chicken masala leftovers
Now:
Going to make a coconut milk steamer and go to bed. I'm craving rich, warm beverages because it's been so cold!!
good accomplishment to ditch the choc almonds!
ill do the same with all cheats! vowing to start on a ketogenic diet starting NOW!!
i had a "damn" moment today: took some measurements and theyve gone up. this is not good. too many cheats, too many calories, too much sugar still lurking around in my diet. this must stop immediately!
my gut is feeling fine, since no wheat is present, but i have let myself go wild on the primal friendly treats and have gone a little out of control, a lot actually.
going into: "no dairy, no fruit, no choc" mode!
Awesome job!
Here's my Day 19:
On the bus:
Double espresso with coconut oil
Lunch:
Big-ass salad with chicken
Herbal tea
Mid-afternoon:
Herbal tea
Dinner:
Bison burger with bacon on a bed of Romaine lettuce with avocado
Roasted asparagus
Later evening:
I'm going to be up to all hours doing last-minute school stuff for tomorrow. I'm going to bribe myself with a coconut milk steamer. Easy on the maple syrup, adding in an egg yolk for extra nutrition.
Days 20, 21, and 22 are a blur from being at school. Overall, I ate pretty well and weighed myself this morning to find that I'm 2 lbs down. I'll try to remember to take a body fat measurement on the weekend to see if I'm just dehydrated or actually making progress.
Day 23 -
On the bus:
Coffee with coconut oil
Mid-morning:
Water
Black coffee
Lunch:
Big Ass Salad with nuts and seeds and dried raisins and goji berries.
Water
Mid-afternoon:
Candy cane. Oh come on, it's almost Christmas :o
Dinner:
Primal chicken tikka masala over cauliflower rice
BED TIME! I have to recover from my school weekend. I have a massage scheduled for Wednesday morning and I am soooo looking forward to chilling out.
Hey! It seems that you broke the almond chocolate rut?
Also, kudos on the non-snacking study sessions!
Ha, the rut was broken until today... Exceedingly stressful meeting at work. However, I bought a dark chocolate bar with almonds and shared it with my co-workers so not quite as bad an impact.
I hear ya!
Ive kinda figured out what makes me snack sweet junk at work: either anxiety (before or after stressful meetings) or boredom (during boring meetings!! ;)).
Im gonna focus on the next few days (b4 xmas anyway) not to eat anything during meetings, maybe keep filling my coffee mug several times is a good idea.
How do you plan to tackle xmas dinners?
