What is this pain?
For the past 4 days I have had a burning pain in my stomach area.
Here's what my diet looks like (not exactly primal)
Breakfast:
4 scrambled eggs {
1 tablespoon of turmeric
pinch of salt
pinch of cayenne
pinch of black pepper
1/4 of coconut milk ****new****
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
}
sprouted wheat bagel {
1 or 2 tablespoons of butter
some raw honey
}
coffee {
heavy cream
1 tablespoon of sugar
}
2 servings of almonds ****new****
--------------------
Dinner:
meat (beef, pork, chicken) {
1/2 cup of sour cream
olive oil
cayenne
black pepper
salt
}
carrots
zucchini
sprouted wheat tortilla to wrap that all up
or another bagel
---------------
****new**** means I have added it in the last 2 weeks.
I am suspecting that I might be eating a lot of fat. Especially coconut. I have once had similar symptoms after overdosing on creamed coconut. Could also be turmeric since I eat at least 1 tablespoon per day. What do you think?
I thought it was acid, but I just took some baking soda, and that didn't do anything.

bump please help, it hurts

How much cayenne and black pepper do you use? They can irritate your stomach over time , especially if you have some other new factors going on- such as acute stress.
Could be totally unrelated to food and be an ulcer . Just throwing out a few ideas...

having had a lot of ulcers in my life (super stress!) i can say they've never burned inside me
if it were me, i'd make an appt with a doc

The pain sounds like something I've been dealing with recently and finally concluded it was reflux (GERD). I've never had it before, but the symptoms were unmistakable and I determined the problem was wheat. I'm strictly primal, but had one weekend last month where I had a few desserts with wheat and actually ate a piece of bread. Never again, it hurt like hell.
I am not sure that is your problem, and I would never try to "diagnose" you, but it may be something to investigate since you do consume some sprouted wheat.

I would recommend trying a primal diet ;). You might be reacting to Gluten, and it could be worse with all the stress you have! When's the last time you went 30 days without any bagels or tortillas?

Check the ingredients in the sprouted wheat tortilla. If it contained xanthan gum, that could be your problem. Read the label on the sprouted wheat bagel, too.
I get horrible pain in my stomach from anything containing XG. Tortillas are notorious for using XG as a stabilizer.

Eggs? Maybe try duck eggs to see if that makes a difference. Try the local co-op or Asian market for fresh duck eggs.

Okay.
I took some more baking soda and it went away now.
I think it immediately started the day I had breakfast for dinner. Meaning 2 tablespoons of turmeric that day. But I'm not ready to blame it on that yet.
I've been very stressed out lately. When I thought about the thing that worried me, I felt it in my stomach. I think that contributed to it most.
I hope I'm not getting sick.
