Total Carbohydrates Composition Question
I have this question I can't seem to find an answer to anywhere online. Should I be looking at total carbohydrates and not sugar when gauging my carbs intakes? What I mean is I often find food labels not adding up for me.
Here's an example:
Total Carbs: 3g
Dietary Fiber: 1g
I guess what I really want to know is: [U]What are those other carbohydrates besides dietary fiber and sugar?[/U] So in my example above, what are those other 2 grams of carbohydrates? We can assume that even if 0g of sugar is rounded (so there's actually .3g sugar) it's not being factored into total carbs, right?
(N.B. This is not a net carb question where net carb = total - dietary fiber)
