I tried this with almond meal and they were pretty good. Would like to try again with almond flour instead.
I've been invited to a big old thing, but I'm probably going to bail. I like spending holidays in quiet. So, probably a small bird of some kind, mashed whites, and pumpkin soup. Or blow it off completely and eat olives and cheese all day. If the cemeteries aren't closed, I may go have a few shot of tequila with the dead. I really do like quiet. ;)

You're welcome, and really it's killer. We had it last year using ground pastured piggy from our local farmer. I don't even pay attention to those little red boxes of stove top cellulose stuffing any more. Who would when paleo stuffing is better than chocolate covered crack?
Oh and today I picked up some fresh cranberries. I love cranberry jelly (the *gasp* horrible frankenfood canned kind), but I'm super curious about the persimmons on sale at the store and saw a recipe for cranberry jelly using them. "Aha!" I said, "an excuse to buy expensive produce." lol
I just tried persimmon for the first time recently, and I think the creamy sweetness of it will work brilliantly with cranberries. I hope you'll post back and tell us how it was. :)
i have to work both in the morning and later in the evening thru next day. Darn retail and black friday. Work is going to supply thankgiving day with cater food from boston market, than some sandwhich, doughnuts, breakfast sandwhich, and probally shots of 5 hr energy drinks. I might splurge and go to cracker barrel. I like there food slightly better.
My cousin is gluten-intolerant, so the pie crusts and stuffing will all be gluten free. We did away with rolls a few years ago :)
I'll probably spend the morning hiking and then ... eat whatever I want, how much I want at dinner. Definitely going to go to town on the dark meat, though, in the spirit of "eating MOAR meat." It's one day a year, having fun won't kill me.

24 hour fast leading up to it, some BCAA's and a deadlift workout in the morning before.
LOAD up on all the turkey + veggies I want. Have some of anything else that I want because it's freakin' thanksgiving!
Don't bring home any leftovers (except turkey and veggies.)
I left out the part of a REALLYYYY good work out that morning but it's kinda a given with me. I may be avoiding gluten but definetly not sugar on thanksgiving... so I'm going to make sure my body is somewhat prepared :)
I go home for Thanksgiving to a SAD family that doesn't do turkey. I stay somewhere close to primal, but all bets are off. This year will probably be smoked lamb leg, mock and cheese (spag squash, alfredo sauce, and lots of cheddar) for me, spinach/ other green sauteed with bacon, thermonuclear smasher taters (yes, they're white, no, I don't care), homemade cranberry sauce, caramel apple pie in a nut crust (my contribution), pumpkin pie, and possibly pecan flan pie, if I make it. I'll avoid the rolls and chocolate pie, because the cottonseed oil crust and fat free/ sugar free pie means they aren't worth it.
