Rich, low carb, NOURISHING hot cocoa: combine 1T raw cocoa powder (Sunfoods makes some) with 1T powdered stevia and a little milk (I used frankenfood unsweetened almond milk) into a paste. Heat 1c grass fed cream to 108 degrees farenheit and combine with paste until smooth. Enjoy!
If you really want to gild the lilly, add a chunk of raw cacao butter and mix until melted :)
OH THIS SOUNDS AWESOME
*hugs you ferociously*
I can't do dairy, so coconut milk will HAVE TO DO.
What's a WOMAN TO DO? OH NOES.
The next time I have some carbs free, I'll try it with coconut milk. I bet it's great-- just like a mounds candy bar <3
Doc, I'll bet a cocoa/coconut milk/butter concoction would be EPIC!
I entered this little beauty in a recipe contest last Christmas, but didn't see it posted.

try subbing the coconut milk :)
Umm... how MUCH stevia???
"1T powdered stevia"... that simply cannot be correct, OR you need to provide a specific brand maybe, because all of the powdered stevia I'm familiar with the barest, scantest, fraction, of a tsp would make an entire cup of cocoa so sweet it would be plenty enough.
That's why I switched to liquid stevia drops... the powdered stuff was INTENSE!
I use "stevia in the raw "

what does cocoa butter taste like? i can get it but it is very expensive so i've never risked it. i would be expecting it to be almost like white chocolate but not sweet and i wouldnt want to be disappointed.
cacao butter is kinda bland, I think. It tastes very faintly of chocolate, and smells great. It's mellow. If you're looking for a chewy fat bomb to keep around the house, get some. A bag of the stuff lasts me at least 6 months, cuz I don't use it that often.
can you put it in something like energy balls instead of coconut oil? or would it just get the taste drowned out so not real be worth it?
