Parsnip everything... roasted, mash etc love it.
Coconut oil/cream etc.
Much nicer organic meat.... so much tastier.
Great paleo recipes
Deep fried Plantains.........eek like candy indeed
Just a liking for so many different veggies, that I have never had before. I am amazed I like them.
I have discovered bok choy, brussels sprouts, kale, sugar snap peas, macadamia nuts and tomatoes (yeah I knew about tomatoes but hated eating them until now).
The first thing I found that I really enjoy now is yogurt..... particularly greek yogurt. I have never been a "rotten milk product" fan, but I really like greek yougurt! Whodathunkit.
Next on the list have been a variety of squashes. Acorn, pumpkin (other than pie),patty pan, delicata. Roast them in a little olive oil with a touch of salt and pepper.... ohhh yum
And stirfry... with bok choy
I found a chayote squash in the grocery store tonight. I've never seen them before. I bought one. Now I just need to learn how to cook it! :) (Or not... I wonder how it tastes raw?)
I think they are really similar to yellow summer squash. They seem to go by many names. Wikipedia gives a list including:
Christophene, cho-cho, mirliton, pear squash, choko, pipinola, and güisquil.

My stepmom called them mirlitons and stuffed them with shrimp and breadcrumbs and stuff. They were awesome.
Vegetables. I despised everything except onions, garlic, and mushrooms before I started Primal. I have been reborn as a vegetable lover...
Wait for Trader Joes'! they have everything!
No to Wegmans, and Trader Joe's is "Opening SOON!" in Salt Lake City. Whole Paycheck didn't have it, neither does Smith's/Albertson's, nor does the base commissary.
Farmer's markets are done for the year, here. They didn't have kohlrabi at the final one for the year, Oct. 6th. We had 8" of snow last week (mostly melted now)!
I still have to check the nearest Wal-Market (Walmart Market?) but if Smith's didn't have any, I don't have much hope for Wal-Market.
I shopped at Trader Joe's in Ohio when I was TDY there (TDY=MilitarySpeak for "business trip".) It was a pretty small one, and I noticed right off that it's not necessarily primal/paleo, but there's plenty of selection of good stuff! I'm hoping we get a big Trader Joe's here!
Coconut cream and bone broth.
Sweet potatoes. I mean, I knew about and ate them before, but I have a new appreciation for them now on heavy workout days. Sliced and baked in foil with coconut oil, chili powder, and garlic salt? Holy freaking crap.
Also, sardines are awesome. Better than tuna in my opinion. Also, liver is tasty if you do it right. And way more avocados in the last year than I'd had in my entire life previously.
Flax meal! so good I eat it with everything
