It is an awesome thread! Thanks for sharing. Even if it did make me kinda sick to my stomach. I couldn't even watch the whole thing :)
Are the climbers ever identified? Maybe that's video of Felix Baumgartner in his first job.
Dang. I don't mind heights as long as I'm tied in but to climb that WITHOUT any fall protection. Gods. I'd probably make it but I'd be frickin' exhausted by the time I got there and it wouldn't be because if the 200' or so feet of climbing!
[QUOTE=justyouraveragecavemen;981292]A few observations:
1. I wonder if he ever gets up there and says, "Man, that second cup of coffee/breakfast burrito/12 pack of beer last night was a bad idea".

I don't think I'D have to worry. I'd have sweated it all out by the time I got there I think!
TorqMag - this is an amazing clip.
David Brennan - you are a piece of work, so your stupid comments on the other thread are not a one off. Charmer
Amazing trip up. Where's the video of the trip down? To me, that's the scariest part. At least climbing, you're looking up for your hands to grab onto something. Going down, you have to look down and trust the foot placement, considering they can't grab anything.
My guess is they would use the safety harness, and use a lot more strength and time on the trip down.
That, or take the quick route with a parachute...

I would pay money to climb to the top and then base jump off....
