Is X Primal?
http://www.marksdailyapple.com/forum/thread67142.html
Really? We need to stop asking these types of questions. The question should not be whether something is primal, it should be whether something is plain and simple, good or bad for our well being.
Going into outer-space, driving cars, internet, these are not "paleo/primal". But that means diddly-squat. It's not about living as we once did 100%. It's about cherry picking the things that actually were good for us and using them to our advantage. You don't need to rip off your clothes, and go live in a jungle somewhere. Unless that's your thing.

I think most people have an 'is X Primal' question sooner or later, I think it's normal. Probably because we've been taught to question CW, and so a lot of things we took for granted we now consider wrong. The metaphorical rug has been pulled, so to speak.
Plus, some people like clarification on every aspect of their lives, some people are more easy going. General questioning of a something seemingly benign is probably how primal/paleo started in the first place.

Loss of bone density, less exercise and less focus on social interactions.

This thread isn't very primal.

Like you'd actually give up the chance to go into space over such a petty concern...

I would, actually. First of all, my family has a bunch of crappy genes. Celiac disease, schizophrenia, autism, gout, every other damned disease in existence. There's a history. Why do we have a vulnerability to these things? Because on both sides of my family we've got the genes to take a pummeling. Soldiers and outlaws. Without my ability to take an extreme amount of punishment (bone density) my body is basically a piece of shit. Yeah, my mind rocks, but that's another story.
Oh and second, I'm hesitant to put my life in the hands of someone else on an extremely long voyage in a metal tube with nothing around it but death. The fact is the schizo genes make me not like blindly following someone to my death.

As with all lifestyles, some people are quite anal about every aspect of it, whereas some take things less biblically. Also some people are just curious as to the nutritional value of certain foods. I didn't know peanuts were a legume until I read so.
The "is football, sex, porn, masturbation, tempeh, vibrant, etc primal?" threads are just silly, though, IMO. The Internet isn't primal, people.

If you have to ask, it probably isn't.....

X isn't primal. Here's a list of primal letters: B, D, I, J, T, U and sometimes Y.
