Ostrich Eggs!

My local butcher always has some Ostrich eggs for sale, and I'm very tempted although a little scared - they're bloody huge!

Apart from a huge omlette, anyone got some tasty recipes?

Hatch it. Raise it. Eat it.

I ain't having no ostrich in my apartment, dayum they scary.

And they poop very large quantities. Really.

Scrambled ... and served in the shell? I gather you can saw these.

I'd be inclined to either boil it and serve a slice as a base to a salad, or make a good frittata.

I heard they're really hard to open.

Welllll, I know of some grain free cake recipes that call for 10 - 12 eggs. Isn't one ostrich egg equal to that?
