Potato soup in broth was heaven after a long day at work. Here in Canada the temps are dropping and it's cold out and potato soup warms the soul. Yummers. I'm off the potato feast now, but will resume it again the 2nd week of November.

Day 2 of spud-centric eating and ... another loss on the scale.
Down another 500g for a total 1.2kg (2.6lb) in two days.
Yesterday was my day off and I had plenty of taters - maybe too many. I'm not measuring, just eating til I'm full.
Common way to eat them yesterday was 'baked' in the microwave and then a tiny amount of salt and olive oil and sometimes vinegar tossed over it.
I'll go another day, maybe two, to see how it goes.
Otzi, I'm wondering what you think of soup idea? Potatoes, small amount of carrots, onion, and celery.
I'm not Otzi, and not really answering the question, but I love to make up a bunch of the soup that was used for the Cabbage soup diet. Anyone remember that? The soup is awesome!!! I keep some frozen in my freezer.
I saw some mention tater soup. We had a potluck after our trail ride, and one of the things that I made.... dun dun dun........Tater Soup! I just have tater brain I guess.
It is a pity it is so hot down here, potato soup sounds like a delicious option
After three days of potato-based modified fasting, I'm another 500g down for a total loss of 1.7kg (3.7lb).
I'd qualify that as a success for Otzi said it is - a quick fat burner.
In terms of exercise, I've just had a couple of walks etc and a bit of play. No strength training or anything too strenuous.
This is a fast that doesn't feel like a fast - obviously it's not a long-term situation but a quick hack.
Plenty of us toy with IF and perhaps in the future it could be a situation were once a week it could be a card refeed/fast combined for those still with weight to lose, like me.
Sounds like a sure path to diabetes to me.

It's fairly warm here (in the 80s F) also, but I'm thinking since this soup won't have any fat, I can eat it hot or cold. I like the idea of soup because the extra fluid will be filling.
I have to do an Amazon order before I can get started because I'll be danged if I'll pay WF prices for the broth I want. :)
