Hashimotos and Iodine
Hi,
I have Hashimotos and am aware that there are two opposite views on Iodine. One side says to never take it and the other suggests to take a low dose (higher over time) along with selenium. I am thinking of trying the latter and adding 225 mcg of potassium Iodine to my daily selenium (brazil nuts).
Has anybody tried this and have you had good results? better states, less goiter, feel better?
thanks

225 mcg is a relatively low amount, so you shouldn't fear "over doing it". Other foods to look into are kelp, and general sea foods.
I try and eat foods high in iodine, and I occasionally supplement, because I feel my energy levels are lacking due to poor/damaged endocrine system. It's been working for me.
