Has anyone here ever frozen butter? Does it affect the taste or texture? I ask because my Grocery Outlet has Anchor New Zealand (grass-fed) butter on sale for $1.49 a pound.

All the time. No problems at all. Stock up!!!
Nope. Where I work we always get our butter shipped in frozen and it doesn't seem to make a difference.
Definitely freeze it for future use. It keeps quite nicely frozen, and with that deal, I'd stock up for sure. Obviously you want to make sure it's wrapped so it doesn't absorb flavours from other things in the freezer, but otherwise, it's fine.
Cool, thanks! (Actually, it's $1.49 per 8-oz package, which is still a good price.) I think I'll buy about 20 pounds and triple wrap it in Costco aluminum foil sheets.
Great deal, stock up and freeze. I do the same when I go to Amish Country.
I do it all the time when it goes on sale. Just throw the block in the freezer. Take it out and put it in your fridge a day before you need it
Buy some fresh herbs and make some herb butter with some of that. Cut it up and freeze. I made a couple of batches of garlic butter and parsley butter and it is the best thing to spice a dish up. Boring steak and steamed veg? The butter being ready to go makes all the difference.
When I find butter on sale, I buy a bunch and freeze all but a pound. It's never gone bad on me.
I always freeze butter - works like a dream!
