Best base to melt cheese on in a toaster oven?
My mom really wants to try go wheat free, but so far she can't fathom letting go off the 2 slices of bread with melted cheese up top that she does in her toaster oven each morning with coffee. I suggested she uses apples as the base.
Anyone has other good, dry base for a breakfast cheese melt?
I doubt she'd go for portabellos, since they are expensive and she won't interpret them as a breakfast food.
Faleo breads are out, since she is not exactly a baker and will not buy super expensive rice flour etc.
