It was tasty and looked a LOT more appetising than last time, haha.
Although when my dh picked up his lunchbox today, he said rather doubtfully, Is this what we had last night? I have to laugh.
Really, it still doesn't look great, however he ate two helpings yesterday so I'm sure by the time he heats it up at lunchtime, it will again be edible.
Hey, I'm really enjoying the recipes/ideas you post. Good luck on your journey! It sounds like you already have amazing results :)
Love your menu Annie. Do you have a recipe for the butter chicken? It's one of my favourite foods, but I usually just pick up a jar, so I'm expecting it to be too full of sugar now.
I'm looking forward to the day I can say I have no more weight to lose, but mostly looking forward to getting my energy levels up.

I found the recipe on this site, Caz! See the link above.
Thanks, for your comment, golangrok and for visiting my journal :)
This community is so supportive. I posted a question and got six replies straight away. Now I have plenty of ideas for my oversized leek, lol.
My crockpot is my friend. Loaded it this morning with onions, carrots, beef (brisket? something cheap and fatty), spice sachet (birthday present) and 1/2 pottle of tomato paste. By dinner time it was rich and tender.
Then I tried something new, poured off the liquid into a small pot and boiled on the stove till it reduced drastically in quantity. Then I added it back into the stew, so now it was thicker.
Served on rice for my dh and dd, with buttered cauliflower for me. MMMhmmm. No Name Stew.
I like the sound of your no-name stew Annie. I bought all the ingreds for butter chicken yesterday - so today I am going to give it a go. have a great day.
He noticed. And then my dh just had to ask what was in the pizza base tonight.
So I had to 'fess up.
Cheese. Salt. Pepper. . . Chicken. (dh: Chicken???). Yes, and egg to hold it all together.
He just made no comment at all, I wondered if I had really blown it this time.
Until I offered another slice and he said, Yes PLEASE.
Phew, glad I got away with that one.
