A really nice option that I have elsewhere seen implemented under Quick Links is to pull new posts excluding journals.
I also have the problem in Firefox of the page not wrapping the text so that one has to scroll left to right to read every post. It fits if I shut down my side bar. But I've never had to do that before. Normally the text wraps so that it fits the screen whatever size you have it set to.

Mark,
This just made my day. I check the forums every morning after my Primal breakfast and my bulldog Ranger and I just got very excited.
Cheers,

The new board is great! Thank you!

Like it... just gonna take some getting used to!
Thanks for upgrading!

New forum looks much more versatile, there's some really great features.
My only gripe is that it isn't as readable as the old forum, for instance, I find the colour of the reply footer to each message too close to the background colour, and the contrast in general is pretty low. Perhaps altering the colours, or adding a border would help. Does this new forum layout allow custom themes?

Mark,
I also noticed that I keep getting logged out. I'm not sure if it's a time thing or a navigation thing (can't really test it where I am right now). I keep the forum open throughout the day at my desk and it will be kind of difficult to have to keep logging in to respond to things.
Also, it would be helpful if there was a sign in option further down on the page, it's a little difficult to be "under the radar" with the banner graphics on my screen =)
Edit: just thought of another thing, I really liked the chronological flow stream of the old forum. Maybe make an "all" catagory next to the "new posts" one at the top? I understand the value of the "new posts" section, but liked that it would have EVERYTHING before

This may not be in the right place but I have a question...
I cannot access most posts that are 'pink' enveloped. I get a 'invalid post' msg. I can click on 'grey' enveloped posts fine.
Sorry, newbie forum user here.
Thanks!
Edit: actually, it seems to be random posts that I select. Including my own journal.
Mark - this may or may not be a bug, but are the threads sorted chronologically based upon the most recent post? In other words, shouldn't the post with the most recent reply in a forum be listed at the top?
I think you can change this in your 'settings'. The default is oldest first. I think it's set that way so you know what people are responding to... but you can change it.

on the forum's main page, the only thing I see in "quick links" is "view forum leaders." So if I want to see my updated subscribed threads, I have to click on a forum category first and THEN click quick links. That doesn't seem right...

OK. I just visited the forums anonymously and was able to click on any/all links. :(
Edit: I think I fixed the problem by adjusting the forum settings. Feeling dorkish now. Still testing to prove.
