primal french onion dip?
I've been 99% primal for about 3 months now and have never felt better. But I do miss eating French Onion dip. I don't really have a hankering for potato chips, but I do miss the dip. I would love to have some with some pork rinds. But it does seem like brand name French Onion dips have corn and soy ingredients. Here's the ingredients for Heluva Good:
CULTURED PASTEURIZED MILK, CREAM AND NONFAT MILK, SALT, DEHYDRATED ONION, MODIFIED CORN STARCH, SUGAR, MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE, PARSLEY, SPICES, SOYBEAN OIL, GELATIN, POTASSIUM SORBATE (TO PRESERVE FRESHNESS) AND ENZYME.
How harmful would this be? Would homemade french onion dip (french onion mix with sour cream) be any better?

Here you go...

Make yourself some homemade mayo to go in it, and you are all set.
I like it with part sour cream and part 10% fat greek yoghurt for more tang. But that's a personal preference.
And, yeah... I've been using that recipe WAY longer than I've been Primal.
It's f*king delicious.

That looks like a great recipe. I think I will try subbing greek yogurt for the mayonnaise.

Go for it... I pretty much always have homemade 'primal' mayo around, so I use it.
A bunch of crumbled bacon on top doesn't hurt this recipe either. ;)
