I may be in low carb flu mode today. Doesn't help that the Russian Circus has come to town and on top of that, I feel congested and I woke up with something in my eye and that took like an hour and a half to come out. I just want to sleep today. Oh yeah, the snow is falling here as well. Good times.

Gheesh, what a crappy day. I hope your weekend is better.

Yeah. The weekend will bring more of the same. I have to be at the chiros at 9:30 tomorrow. What's funny is I now have a raspiness to my voice and I just talked to some guy and he was like "oh my". The funny thing is that my throat and chest doesn't hurt. My glands are definitely swollen though.

I'm beginning to think I have allergic pink eye. Dammit. Not like I have the money to go to the doctor right now. I've been pulling mucous out of my eye all afternoon and it feels like there is still something in it. I'm so frustrated right now.

Try not to fiddle with it :(. I've seen pink-eye remedies in the drug store (eye drops of some kind), though I don't know how effective they are. Make sure to save the cream they have you put in your eye next time. It's good for any kind of topical infection.

The Similisan "irritated eye" stuff is their pink eye stuff. Works the best on me, other than the actual antibiotics.

Not sure what you have available in the US, but here I can get Polysporin opthalmic (eye) drops over the counter in any pharmacy for not too much. I used to keep it on hand when the kids were in daycare. Not expensive, and works every time for pinkeye.
If you wear mascara, you need to toss the tube you're currently using and don't start a new tube until the symptoms clear, otherwise you'll just keep reinfecting yourself.

I ended up going to a minute clinic and have pink eye and a stye. I'm on erithromyicin gel for it. I didn't wear any make up today. Should I still toss out my tube if I haven't worn it since yesterday?

I'd say yes, to be safe. Don't throw out the gel when you're done! I think I still have a tube that's a few years old haha. I'm one of those people that risks expired medications though.
