Johnny ---- amazing transformation --- you don't even look similar to the 'before pics'. YOU LOOK AMAZING!!!!! You are going to have to find innovative ways to keep the ladies at bay --- that's going to present other challenges ;) Thanks for sharing --- truly AMAZING.
I haven't posted at all in a really long time, but things are going really well for me, so I thought I'd check back in.
I last posted here: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/forum/thread6138-439.html#post897019 and have lost another seven pounds since then. Hopefully it's mostly fat! This was me in March last year, at maybe 190 pounds (http://i.imgur.com/7Mnof.jpg). I'm 168 as of yesterday.
Still doing a lot of weight training, with olympic weightlifting as my main passion (though I've been sidelined with a sprained ankle that I've had to be nice to, which is annoying).
Here's me tonight. Sorry for low image quality; I'm just dancing around my childhood bedroom having fun.
Everyone is looking great, you are all such inspirations to me!
I have a slightly different story of going Primal: started with no muscle and was sick all of the time. I'll have to do an entire write-up, but basically, I discovered my gluten sensitivity on my own and have then felt 100x better. No more migraines, no more brain fog, and it helped eliminate my depression.
After 3 months Paleo, discovered gluten intolerance. Dropped some bodyfat around stomach.

That was me a few years back, around (emphasis on ROUND) 220. I started this project late last February. Presently at 167, feel twenty years younger (ride the mountain bike, am back at Kun Tao class, ...)
I'm to the right. (And yes, that's Buddy Valastro. I kinda liked the irony.) Sorry for the not-the-greatest shots, but frankly I'm still nothing you'd want to see without a shirt.

Big change there johnmjoy!!! Definitely noticeable :) Good job, keep it up!
Well this is my journey SO FAR. I started Paleo on January 1,2012 with a friendly email from my friend Ryan who thought I could benefit from the lifestyle. I am 6'1", I started out 362 lbs and I am currently 275 lbs. I have been large my whole life, always thought I would be until I read the "Primal Blueprint". After I read the first book I got every other Paleo book I could get my hands on and dove right in.
I went from a 44" waist to currently a 38". I don't think I have been a 38" since middle school. I went from 3xl shirts to a 2xl and now a few Polo shirts that are XL. That was also a big motivator was being able to walk into a store and buy clothes, instead of ordering them online.
I work on a tugboat where the diets are terrible even though the coast guard has strict medical guidelines for BMI. That was also always on the back of my mind. They strive for a BMI of 40 or under, even though still unhealthy, if they went any lower there would be no one running tugboats.
This is my journey so far, I havent cheated at all and I can't go back. My goal weight for now is 225. I think with hard-work and determination I can achieve that goal. My friends and family have been supportive. I have also introduced family members, friends, and strangers to the diet. They have also found success. Well keep fighting the good fight!
PS. Tattoos are Paleo right?
Well I figured an update may be in order. I am coming up on 1 year paleo. It has been the best decision of my life. From eating better to exercising. I am currently an XL shirt, 36 pant down from a 3xl and a 44 pant. I have introduced the Primal lifestyle to many people, most of them are still sticking to it, all with success. My greatest moments are when people say I look amazing. Not only do I think I look much better but I feel amazing.
that's a big change, you look great! congrats :)
