Will keep that in mind. The Paleo pumpkin ginger cake is very tasty. Will have to be careful about how much I eat!
Slept fantastic last night - no waking up. Today DH and I pack to go up the road to a swanky area and using my accumulated hotel points stay at a very nice hotel until Sunday morning. This is to celebrate 29 years of marriage/ 33 years together this year. I've scoped out places to eat. I'm wanting to hit the mall (I know it will be madness, but they have the undies store I like and I need to be measured and get new bras). If nothing else, the walking will be good exercise. I'm getting ready to get my CWCC and get my day started. I need to enter 2 quizzes in the on-line shell before I pack. I hear DH putting away dishes and he has the boys laundry going. Got a very touching email labeled "thankful" from Son#1 reminiscing about growing up with me as a mom. It brought tears to my eyes, as I think as parents we always wonder if we should have, could have, would have done something to be better. Okay tummy growling - off to hunt down some food! Have a great day........:)
Have a wonderful time! You deserve it!
Walked a ton yesterday. Went from DDDD to DD :). Got new bras and undies on sale. :D. Also picked up DH Christmas gift. :o. Slept okay. Meager breakfast, late lunch, salad for dinner. Watching Red Tails. Late checkout tomorrow. Maybe brunch.
Slept fair. Will be glad to be in my own bed tonight (even though the hotel bed was comfortable). We are home. Stopped at store to restock DS junk (DH's doing) and pick up a pork loin that I'm slow cooking with some lemon pepper and the last of the leftover sides are dinner. Unpacked, did the stuff on my to do list. Now hanging around.
Dinner was good. Set out a pork butt to slow cook tomorrow. I'm thinking garam masala, apple, potato (still using up), onion, and a touch of red wine. This is a total mish mash of ideas and ingredients I need to use up. Hope to sleep well tonight. Have stats due tomorrow. :(
Man, your food really does sound fantastic! Do you think you could provide the links to the faux cornbread and the pumpkin ginger cake?
Shrinking waistline - gotta love it! And congrats on the anniversary, and on the wonderful email from DS.
^ ditto that. ;)
Cornbread came from this Low carb stuffing. Seriously. ~ Stuff I Make My Husband
Here is the cake.
