Closed up the night clinic an hour early. :). Saw 21 patients in about 3 hours then no one for an hour before the decision to close was made. A cold front came in, so they didn't want to be out. Glad I'm not working tonight as it will be busy. Slept well, up a few times due to water pushing. Gearing up to go to the University. Paperwork to do, a meeting, and then interviews until 7 tonight. My friend is leaving for a clinical site visit today and will get back tomorrow. So I'm dog and house sitting. I can't tell if I've gained, lost, or stayed the same weight wise this trip. I will step on the scale Thursday morning after 10 days - a bit scary. :(. DH reports another successful delivery of GF meat yesterday. I coordinated, he set out cooler, and DS put everything in the freezer. I can't wait to see what I have to play with! :p. Well enough farting around, time to get moving. I've come to really enjoy starting my day with friends. (We're the CK now).

Oooh, meat delivery. Have you had grass-fed before? I'm debating trying it, but I am so cheap and it is so expensive.
Do you feel thinner? I find I often (not always) have a pretty good idea of what the scale is going to tell me, just from the way I feel.

We get a delivery from a local farm every 4 weeks. This is our 3rd delivery. There is a taste difference and its worth the cost.
I don't feel one or another weight wise, so will have to wait and see.

Yesterday seemed to stretch forever. Fasted almost the entire day, if you don't count coffee. Dinner was fish, salad, baked potato. I woke up with stomach issues about 1 and they lasted until 7. Called and rescheduled my meeting to tomorrow. It will be a bit hectic with a meeting at 8 at the university across town, pick up all the stuff I left in my office for today that I need to pack, back to the house to throw it into a suitcase, gas up rental, and to airport by noon, but doable. It's maybe 10 minutes from the house to the airport and the airport is relatively small, so TSA shouldn't be a mess. Usually I get there early enough to eat something, but will eat a Greek yogurt at the house while packing. So after I rescheduled I went back to sleep until 1030 and am now drinking some coffee. Tummy seems better - either it was a very quick virus or there was flour in my dinner :(.......I think I will be able to still meet the kids for dinner at my favorite steakhouse. Very primal! :). I'm thinking I will be in bed by 9 tonight, so will be up early and start packing before my meeting.

Steakhouses tend to be pretty good to us, don't they? And they usually have an item or two for vegetarians, so DD and I can go out together. :) Mongolian grills, if you have one around, are also great for a group of people with different dietary restrictions.

I've never tried a Mongolian grill, Judg. Will have to look for one. I'm feeling better this afternoon. I've fasted all day. Showered and washed my hair - I felt yucky after the nights drama! I'm actually starting to get hungry...

Mongolian grills are like a buffet. You load up your bowl with whatever combination of ingredients you want, you pay by weight, and then they stir-fry the whole thing for you. The one near here, called Mongolian Village, had several sauces marked gluten-free too. So the vegetarians leave out the meat and fish, the primal types leave out the baby corn, and so on. Since each meal is totally custom-made by the customer, you only get what you want. They serve rice and jasmine tea at the table, or at least we always ask for it. There are a couple of chains that do that in Canada; I imagine they exist in the States too.

Oh, I miss Mongolian BBQ! Lots of those in California. None here!
Every time I read about your grass fed beef I start salivating. I guess I'm just like Pavlov's dog.

I'm not a fan of Mongolian BBQ -- hubby always wants to go there - but when I eat there I bloat up like a dead cow! tastes good - but so not worth it! besides........... its sorta of silly to go there is you're not eating rice.

I'm not a big rice fan......
So I'm home. Kitchen light isn't working. Dogs are happy to see me. DH at work. I don't want to go to clinic tomorrow. I'm pooped!
