Ordered two different pairs that the MD recommended. Foot felt good this morning, so I went to small community workout room with DH and walked 15 minutes on the tread mill. Incline of 3 at about 2.5-3.5 speed. Came home and put out fall decorations (turkey and pumpkins) that will stay out until 12/1. Cleaned out pantry and organized a kitchen cabinet into PB safe foods. I don't have to go into big pantry! Put together a slow cooker butternut squash lasagna that smells great. DH helped with cleaning and lasagna. Still have about 1/4 of first paper to finish - maybe this evening, as I've really got to be in the mood.
good to hear the foot is on the mend :) I have "wide" feet - and I've learned it pays to have shoes that fit and are appropriate for the task at hand. :)
I've been rotating thru the same couple of pair of tennis shoes for awhile. May need to toss the older ones. I've got narrow feet with high arches and have had two surgeries on my left foot (horse fell on it).
Oh dear.......... makes things difficult huh? narrow feet are as troublesome as wide feet! and --- OUCH! horses don't belong on top of human feet.......... makes me cringe!
It happened when I was a teenager and even though it broke, I never told my parents (I was afraid they would make me stop). They wondered why I didn't enjoy tromping around NYC that summer! Flash forward 30 years and I had the bone chip and cyst removed and then the following year the cyst that reformed was removed. I have a ball of scar tissue at the side of my foot by the arch. Foot still feels good - hoping the stretches are working.
The slow cooker lasagna was more like chunky spaghetti sauce with squash. It was good. Everyone ate it. Up and down last night - never read, but didn't really sleep. Went with DH again. He lifted weights and I walked 25 minutes 3/3 a bit over a mile. We are doing dinner out with my parents tonight.
I struggled, and I do mean STRUGGLED with PF for years. I don't want to repeat that experience. I hope yours goes away very, very, very quickly. The Agony of De Feet...
^ thats funny! :) ( de feet! ) :)
Cool snap came in yesterday. DH and I walked the girls about a mile. Foot feels good. I have to confess my right thumb had a close encounter with the mandolin Thursday. When I changed the bandage at 12 hours post encounter, I was still bleeding. So I've got bactrobaned gauze with a fairly impressive pressure wrap on it since then. Let me tell you showering and washing my hair was interesting yesterday. I'm leaving it on until Monday and then I will change it. And before you ask - yes I was using the guard and the zucchini slipped. Today DH and I are making faux potatoes for the week. I'm thinking fish for dinner and I've got some sweet potato left over and leftover broiled root veggies.
