Life V3.0 (BigChris)
Your location: Western Catskill Mountains, NY, USA
Age (If you want): 42 at the end of July
How Primal are you: 90/10 – have club, meat and fire - need cave and grokette -
Do you consume dairy: cheese in all/any form
Do you drink coffee or tea: 1 large coffee on sat/sun, green tea weekday mornings, lots and lots of water
Motivator for switching to Primal: health – used to eat this way (long before it was a way) - then went through some rough times - gained 200+lbs, screwed up my BP, liver, gout, mind space, body chemistry, etc
Favorite exercise: excluding nephew presses – seated rows or lat pull downs – basically lift heavy things
Favorite Primal food: red meat, white meat, cooked meat, raw meat - flying, swimming, crawling, running, grazing it’s all good
Best part about being Primal: The way I feel and soon to be the way I look
Worst part about being Primal: While not directly primal, ATM - I HAVE TO track everything and keep my ratios, calories, meal timings and composition right – oh and I miss making/eating my homemade high-gluten breads.

I'm mourning my loss of bread baking too! Hi BigChris! Baking bread is totally fun and geeky in a good way (and I used to bake it all the time), but I've been trying to turn my attention to the barbecue instead. Nom nom grillables and seasonings.

Feeling great, got the day off tomorrow, driving down to south central PA this weekend to get a new custom made rear bumper and tire carrier install on the truck and I just ordered me some VFF KSO's .. Life is good
-
GOD I love primal .. BAS for lunch and now I'm sitting at my desk (yea would rather be outside tho only 2 more hr) but snaking on bag full of chunks of semi-raw london broil from the other night and a little (like 1 oz) of pepper jack cheese... it's good to be Me

Fat beast, fat burning beast, fat adapted … all I know is I feel great and did a 5hr drive in 100deg weather to southern pa, wrenched on my truck for 5 hrs and lifted heave thing (loaded tool boxes and parts) drive 5hr back north in same hot weather .. and only on 3 eggs, 4 pieces bacon, 1 slice swiss, 16 oz black coffee with baileys creamer (6am), 2 scoops protein powder mixed with 1 cup blackberries and ½ oats (noon) 3.5 oz beef jerky (6pm) (totals - 1200 cals 43% pro, 32 Fat, 25 carb, 2500mg sodium) and 2+ gals water.
So either my body is burning water or I’m ready to start mainlining clarified hog fat.

Stuck at 379 +/- 5lbs for most of July but then eating and diet was a little off for a variety of reasons but back on track and back to losing 3+ lbs per week down to 369. Got a doc appointment on Thursday, believe all will go well just want their scale to match mine but sadly am feeling a bit blotted yesterday/ today (think it was the artificially sweetened instant drink mix I had over the weekend -some times I just want some flavoring in my water and didn’t feel like taking the time to make cold tea from scratch) hopefully it works it self out before then. Did great most of last week walked every day, workout 3 days at gym, and two evenings of kettle bell swings, and a bunch on LHT Saturday.

Way to go Big Chris! Looking at your measurements, you are making some good progress!!! Grok on!

well was official 378 at the docs today :( and watch tomorrow I will be back down to 368 ... I feel like a firken yo-yo ... I know it's only water/bloating weight but I will be happy when it goes away permanently
... BUT …
doc lady was WAY happy and impressed with my weigh lose and said keep it up … bp was still up a little 140/90 (probably cuz I was stressing big time over what the scale would say)... had blood drawn for my normal set of tests so will see what they say in a week or so although neither of us are to worried regardless of how they come back considering how much of a chance my body is going thru, so all meds stay the same and come back in 3 months (goal weight 333lb)… all in all a good visit.
Upping my net cals to 1800 per day for the next 6 weeks then back to 1400 for the last 6.
