I don't know much about real estate and what I do know, I learned from HGTV. So if your house isn't clean enough for an open house, why would people want to look at it at a showing? I realize they are getting deterred before seeing it or not bothering to even go see it, but still. I've read a lot about having houses "show ready" and that may be something to consider. I hope you get some bites soon.
Jealous of your vacation. I want vacation all the time. I feel like I'm talking in memes today.

It's clean yo; but it looks like people live there, ya know. If we were going to have an open house I would want to remove almost all the personal knick knack stuff, like the DVD tower, the toy bins, probably clean everything out of the garage and utility room, all the clothes out of the closet, that type of thing.

The knick-knack stuff is the stuff that I've read about needing removal for "show ready" so people can better envision themselves living there without feeling like they're intruding. Especially toys, in case someone doesn't have kids, ya know? Cuz I sure don't.

But if I pack away my knick-knack paddy whack will it really be a home?

Isn't the ultimate goal that it won't be? ;) (at least for you)

So... have you considered a suit of leather and mail?
Because it turns out that gingers look just skippy in it!

No, I haven't contemplated a suit of armor until now. What movie/show is that? I've loved that guy ever since Band of Brothers.

is that GoT? I really need to start watching the second season.

It's not GoT as far as I recall. That dude ruled in BoB.
