I hated cottage cheese until I tried Kalona's cream top cottage cheese. It's to die for! It's best when there's no whey on top, just solid chunky heaven.
I like to top mine with ground beef and spaghetti sauce :)

I love cottage cheese. I've loved it for years, and my favorite topping for it is crushed red pepper.
I am sticking as strictly as possible to Paleo guidelines so I don't eat dairy.Once I reach my target weight I will add in some dairy and see how my body reacts and will probably start with cottage cheese. It use to be something I ate regularly when I was going through by body building phase in my 20's and also added it to my diet consistently when training for triathlons in my 40's. I just turned 60 by the way and feel this diet has turned back the years, my energy level has been amazing since I cut out dairy, grain based carbohydrates, trans fats and sugars. I also added in IF and HIT to my lifestyle change and feel this has made a real difference as well.

I destroy cottage cheese. Usually just go 2% or fullfat and add (gasp) Tapatio.
I liked it when I was younger. In the 60's, 70's or 80's, Knudsen cottage cheese was on the dry side. It was like a crumbled cheese with just enough moisture to hold it together. At some point they changed it and it became much more wet. I don't like the wetter style at all. I gave up on trying to find a drier cottage cheese a long time ago. Like many forgotten hunts this one popped into my head the other day and I'm hoping with the reach of the internet that someone knows what I'm talking about and suggest an alternative. I've seen discussions on "dry cottage cheese". Is this a completely dry cottage cheese that is crumbled similar to feta or does it have some moisture that holds it together ? Thanks for any suggestions. - Brian
I see it as something to give my dogs occasionally.

Way to waste good food and give your dogs constipation.

They don't get constipated, I don't know why you would say that about cottage cheese and its only occasionally that I give it to them. Raw meaty bones is their staple diet, among other meats and some veg leftover from us.
I love it but its unfermented/non mature dairy which I can't really cope with.
