Cooking bot!
Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving! It's always mystified me that the US has our T-day so late, long after the harvest was in. Yours is at a more reasonable time!
Eleanor486 is hitting all of us!
hope you have a great day! Its so beautiful here in the Pac. NW I can't wait to get out for a nice walk this afternoon! Heck, maybe I'll just go this morning! :) Or split it - 1/2 now and 1/2 later? :)
OK, tomi, you're obviously in a different part of the Pacific NW. It's totally foggy here, and although that's super for me, it's not most people's cup of tea:-)

I'm in Salem, Oregon :) A bit south of you! :)
Ah, my oldest is in Salem. She's always telling me about the sunny weather. And then she gets snow in the winter. Geez. You guys are only an hour and 15 minutes away!! Our sun is out now though.

Except if you are married to a farmer and you have to take his turkey dinner out to the combine!
I've had to do that in the past. This year my Farmer took a break for supper.

Yes, ma'am. Whatever you say, ma'am. New low this morning - 144.2. :) I really don't understand why my body holds on to weight some days and drops it others. But I'm not complaining about the drops.

Maybe because that's when they finally had time to sit down and cook! ;)

It's been cold here. I was wearing my wool coat yesterday. And gloves. Today is supposed to be even colder, although with no rain, and hopefully less wind, so it should be more pleasant, at least. Definitely crisp! Probably frost tonight.

Oy! A few years ago, when Translator Son was doing night shifts in the control room of a security company, a lovely young lady took him a turkey dinner in the wee small hours of the night because she felt so sorry for him missing the festivities with his family. And that's when he realized that she was more than just a friend. The rest, as they say, is history.
I got inspired by Body by Science - not that I intend for a single moment to sign up at a gym - and did my resistance band routine in very slow motion, holding each extension as long as I could. Oh. My. Goodness. What a difference. It took four times as long and turned into a challenge. I could feel almost all my muscles tingling afterwards. No pain this morning. :) I see a couple of major advantages for me. Because I am doing the movements so slowly, there is no danger of aggravating my tendonitis. (Mangled shoulders from consistently believing I was stronger than I was. I've been reluctant to do Mark's routine, because pushups tend to cause pain for me.) And because I am pulling the bands to the furthest extent of my strength, the routine will automatically adjust itself as I get into better shape, so I don't think I will have to increase reps at all. I was on such a high from the routine, the temptation will be to do it too often, but I know it's important to allow recovery time. But I am so eager to solidify all the jiggly bits...
My son uses those resistance bands too. They are pretty good for working out :)
Another new low? How exciting!!!!!! :) now you're LESS than 10 pounds from your goal. I'm in awe........... I. WILL. BE. THERE. ONE. DAY!!!! :) you can stand at the finish line and cheer us all on to catch up to you! :)
