Even more swimming thoughts:
Noticed today that the racing platforms are tailor-made for doing assisted pull-ups. The water is the assist, naturally! And the side of the pool is good for tricep work. Actually, getting in and out of the pool is a workout.
Haven't talked much about food lately. Well, I just had wild salmon baked with cilantro, onions, lime juice, olive oil, and nectarines. Recipe from Cordain's Paleo Diet Cookbook. Inspired combination. Also a salad from same with walnuts, avocado, and raspberries. Can you say delicious AND nutrient-dense?
Like the avatar. Very cool.
And the food as well. I could totally eat all of that. What time are leftovers being served? I better put a new one on. Like judg says, mine looks like it's from last winter!
Then when I was sitting in the sauna, I realized that if one fills out the top of one's bathing suit nicely, and one shows a bit of that, it just might distract other people's eyes from traveling to less-than-optimum bits.
I can't speak for all men, but that works with me...every time. ;-)
LOL @ David. I think you could speak for all men, when it comes to that.
And here I thought Siobhan was turning into a cat... Turns out she's a real cartoon woman. Who woulda thunk it?
I find I've been getting more interested in clothes too. I want to learn how to choose my clothes well, seeing as I prefer to have a limited number of them. Before the emphasis was cheap and hopefully not too ugly. I grabbed almost anything that fit that definition. Now if I did that, I'd never stop buying. So I have to learn what I want to wear, because all the rules of what suits me have changed, even colours. I never realized that having a different colour hair has a major impact on which colours look good on you.
But I must confess, I'm looking forward to getting it figured out, so I don't have to spend so much time thinking about it. Clothes are important, but not THAT important.
One: like your new picture!
Two: looked up Ryan Lochte. Mmmmmm!
Three: not surprised that a bit of cleavage is drawing the guys to your lane. :) Now, what is HIS journal saying? Heehee.
Yet again with the swimming thoughts:
Got a book and a DVD about swimming technique called Total Immersion by Terry Laughlin. I watched only 15 minutes of the DVD and got such good tips that I felt like an entirely new swimmer. Great stuff, I highly recommend it. Imagine how well I will swim after watching the entire DVD!
Going to a party tonight, I'm taking meatballs and marinated mushrooms. Must make sure there is something I can eat! Although it is a barbecue, so I am expecting piles of meat. At least some hamburgers and hot dogs. Even before I went primal I usually did the Scarlet O'Hara before parties. I'm a big eater but I will admit I don't like to make a pig of myself in front of others - at least others that don't already know me.
Made a fire in the woodstove last night for the first time. Does that thing ever put out heat! It will significantly reduce my propane bills this winter. And so easy! This falls into the category "You get what you pay for." I've only had really crappy, old, falling apart woodstoves. This is the Cadillac of woodstoves. Virtually airtight. Also it is surrounded by soapstone panels, which give off significant warmth once they get heated. Of course it wasn't that cold last night but I can tell.
Yep David, I second Judg's motion - you probably can speak for all men on this subject!
I love how soapstone radiates. It just seems like one of those things that nature got SO right.
Hanging. out with the ex this afternoon. Kinda weird. He is really caring and attentive now that we aren't together. He is out buying me a dark chocolate bar right now. Just treated me to lunch. Hmmmm. He is very appreciative of my new figure.
Hmmmm. I will say no more... That's the one you said is still a dear friend, right? Well then, not MUCH more.
